From MS point of view this was probably one of their best moves. First they need this games to get away from the typcal shooters wich the xbox brand is bombarded with. Second its a game prefered by playstation fans, so there is a chance they can still some of thouse customers. This would have done nothing if it was battlefield, any sports games or even the division.

For SE. What else could be said that was not said before? Lest just hope that check was big enouff to compasate the less than 1m in sales.

Common knowledge. They don't have the developers and they clearly don't care to put cash into it as they rather choose to moneyhat games for a timed period.

These complaints make me laugh.

It seems most agree that the First Party offerings from Microsoft are mediocre.

That being said, the ability to understand potential games that would be good for their console is not mediocre. Instead of making a new game themselves with their money, they're simply funding a known (or sometimes unknown, ex: Titanfall) game for exclusivity. I see no harm in that. In fact, I think it's a brilliant move.

Why so many people are mad. We need to remember that we are not even one year into the gen. And most people expected the new Xbox to outshine and outsell the PS4 before the DRM and all the MS bad PR, so those deals were easy for MS to secure (remember EA+Titanfall who though the next Xbox would be the console of the future).
Now Square will get a bad reality check when that game launched holiday 2015 with Uncharted, COD, Battefield, Halo, maybe Assassins Creed, and only on one platform.

I get people getting miffed about MS buying exclusive third party games. But how much more would you be pissed, If MS went out, and bought a bunch of studios like Sony previously? Imagine if Tomb Raider could only be played on the Xbox from here on out, the internet would be on fire.

People are not under the impression that Sony built all those studios from the ground up are they?
