Boy are they desperate...I thought they had grown past this pointless and expensive practice.

Well f*ck you Square Enix, You can pull that sh*t with MS but you can't even let Sony have FF Versus XIII/FF XV stay exclusive to Sony after all the delays.
Not to sound like a Sony fan but I feel sorry for Sony for what Square's been doing to them. Square's game sells alot more on Sony consoles, as well, out of Square's top 10 best selling games of all time, 8 of them are on Sony's consoles. This is the thanks Sony gets from Square. Stupid move as it seems Square needs Sony more than ever.
Rant aside, this is great news for Xbox fans as I seriously enjoyed the first Tomb Raider from last gen. If this new TR game is anything like the previous (or better) then I will highly recommend this to every Xbox One owners. Good for MS!

It changes nothing for Xbox One owners. Or do you think they are happy that Playstation is not getting a version? |
It is good for Xbox One owners BECAUSE they are getting it (simple as that)... So yah that a good thing or do you believe that NOT getting a game is a good thing too... And it is a good move for Microsoft and they are may move some console because of the deal. I do not see why you are talking about Playstation here (and I do not care about it)...

Its not really the same situation since Bayonetta 2 is not timed exclusive

Cool? I was talking about the meltdowns

My point was that your original post I quoted was overblowing the hate that Tomb Raider got, when it was actually voted/ rated one of the best games of the Year by gamers on all sides.
method114 said: Yea this move seems really dumb for MS. Why would they spend money to do this? What's the logic here? A game that sold pooly last year is suddenly going to move consoles? Who is going to buy an X1 a year from now just because of TR? Very silly move but at this point I don't know what MS could throw their money at that would be a good move. |
This really doesn't make any sense at all to me (Microsoft, not your post, which makes perfect sense).
To answer your question though, making :
Madden or COD or Destiny or .. well pretty much that's it. They need a top selling franchise to be exclusive to really give the XB1 something that would make people HAVE to buy an XB1. Of course those deals would be tremendously pricey. Maybe if they hadn't spent $400M on Fantasy Football?

Stereotyping never does any good >_>

I'm pissed, but that is a bitter ass comment. The series had a very successful reboot with Origins both critically and commercially... I dont see how you can say this new entry looks mediocre when we've only seen a CG teaser trailer, the very same reason why it wasnt a huge talking point back in June.

Game was announced a while ago. You said: "Good move ... (for Xbox One owners at lest)" - What move was good for Xbox One owners? Not being the side that got the game cancelled?
