Lmao. To be honest when I learned about Playstation Now, I was totally sold on a PS4 until I learned it was a stupid rental service where they want people to pay full price to "RENT" a download for a few months or pay something stupid like $2.99 for a couple of hours of play. If it was a flat fee of maybe $20 per month to play all of the old PS1, PS2, and PS3 stuff I would have gotten a PS4 in a heartbeat but it's not even close to that. All it is, is a massive moneygrab by Sony because their 1st party games sell like crap for the most part. EA Access is exactly what I was looking for when it came to PS Now. I pay EA $30 for the year, and they give me a bunch of relatively new games to play.
As an admitted Nintendo Fanboy, I always get whatever Nintendo makes, and then I pick one other console every generation for my other stuff, and then maybe late in the generation I get the last one dirt cheap. Right now I look at Sony and all I see is a company riding the coat tails of Microsofts screw ups in the past year to bring in sales, and when I look at Microsoft I see a company doing everything they can to make a great console. I wouldn't be shocked one bit if this generation basically is just the reverse of last gen for this reason. PS4 / Wii start out extremely hot and sell a ton of consoles but over time lose a ton of steam because the Wii U, Xbox One / PS3, Xbox 360, start pumping out hit game after hit game, and very quickly the tables turn. That could all change if Sony gets on top of their game and makes some killer apps, but I'm just not seeing it right now.

If you have no problem waiting then I suggest holding out for Black Friday deals. They're always good. |
Black Friday treated me well last year. I got the $150 Gold Zelda 3DS XL Bundle, plus another $15 off because my girlfriend worked there. Wal-Mart is ussually the best spot for cheap games but around where I live (Tampa), it's just gotten too crazy.
I'v learned too that if you just wait a few weeks, all of the stores put the same exact stuff on sale for the same price as Black Friday anyways. Black Friday kills demand, and once demand goes down, so do prices.
If anyone on here could invite me to the EA access beta too, it would be greatly appreciated. If not it's all good, I don't mind waiting, but I want to make sure EA hears my opinion on how they are finally getting it right, when it comes to digital downloads.
Congrats. Buy Dead Rising 3, probably the best game I've played on XBO.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

What's your gamertag? I'll have to invite you to the Xbox Preview thing and then if you're accepted then you can have EA Access

You shouldn't compare PSNow to other services since there is none like it.
In PSNow games are streamed which means you don't have to load gigabites of data before you can play. It's not meant to be used indefinitely. It is meant for the short fun of either an evening with friends or maybe a few days to see if you like the game or maybe to play it through in that time. Also on the PS4 it will let you play games that you won't be able to play on PS4 any other way.
So yeah, PSNow is completely different from PS plus or EA access. Different technology, different target consumer, different use cases, different prices.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I really don't want this thread to turn into another EA Access vs PS Now argument. :(

Then let's nip it in the bud with the following.
PSNow and EA Access offer different things to different people, some will like them some will pass on them but ultimately their existance further expands the options on the hardware they support, which is a good thing for everyone.
Now onwards and upwards with a delightfully argument free thread.
