Here in South America getting robbed is so common that I'm already prepared psychologicaly when the time comes. But it didn't happen... yet.

You're never prepared. To steal, or to be stolen; it's your choice!

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Nope, but I did steal my cousin's copy of Tomb Raider several years ago.

I had my Gamecube at a Pawn Shop because I needed extra $ and it was stolen so they gave me a replacement one and it did not work. So they gave me another one and it was in terrible condition but did work that was probably 2002-2003

Also later on in Gamecube days I had everything in storage because I was moving and all my GC games were stolen. Not the gamecube not the TV not anything just the games and a few really small things.

And my uncle took my Xbox360 he said he wanted to use it as a DVD player but I have not seen it again and that was 2009 when I ask him about he said its at a buddys house.

Yes! Someone took my Mario Kart 64 cartridge and some other stuff too and I never found out who it was. Luckily, I got it replaced and it was cheap too.

I've had this happen a few times.

Let's see. I had my GB Play it loud set stolen with 5 games. I brought it to school once. And I always suspected the new transfer student did it. One teacher did search the whole school and did find it. But not all the games. Super Mario Land, Lion King, and something else was never found. I eventually replaced SML. The weird thing was the Play it loud case was left in my desk. Whoever did it, took the time to take 4 games out and the GB. This happend because there was a fire drill.

Another time was when I lent a friend Donkey Kong Land. Literately the next day he never came to school. I found out he moved. Final time, I let a friend borrow Kirby's block ball. He never gave it back. I always had a problem with GB stuff. And this was in High School.

I recent thread of NeoGAF got me intrested in discussing it here as well (I stole a thread idea, OH THE IRONY).

This extends to consoles/handhelds as well as controllers.

For me, I moved a decent distance away from my Parents in 2011 (I stopped living at my parents house in 2009 but was like 10 minutes away, now I'm almost 2 hours North of them).  Anyhow I left my all my GC stuff at my parents upstairs (our upstairs was an addition to the house and was only 2 rooms, mainly used for storage, so I thought they were relatively safe) after transfering apartments upstairs .

About 2 years later I start to get the itch to play RE4, WW, and MP1 & 2 again.  So during some weekend I come home and look through my stuff only to find all four of my controllers gone (2 of them wavebirds).  When I confront my youngest brother what happened he said he hadn't a clue.  My Mom is actively upstairs and knows to consult me on anything she finds gaming related on wither it should be there or not.   MY Dad never goes up there cause its a mess.  So it really could have only been him, especially since he later said he did remember taking the controllers and bringing them to friends house occasionally.  Sad thing is the chances of him having sold them or bringing them to a friends house but forgetting them there was equally as possible......But I decided at the time this wasn't worth getting mad over with him (he's bipolar and him being mad/punished just means misery for my parents who are quite close to kicked him out of the house by today).

With the recent annoucement of GC adapters for the Wii U kinda has me kicking myself in the balls.....

So what have been your shitty situations about stolen gaming goods?

I bought the four controlers from your brother, he said: "My brother, crazy_man_said doesn´t like video games anymore so he told me to sell it".

I remember it well because I thought it was weird that someone coul be named crazy_man_said.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.
