Forums - Nintendo - Super Smash Bros.: Idea for Villager

Recently, I've been playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf and realized how fun it is to customize your character. You can change your eye color, hair color, hair style, shirt, pants, hat, face wear, and headgear! They give you so many options and I absolutely love the headgear/hats/face wear options. Anyway, I feel like if you're a big fan of Animal Crossing, you might play as Villager in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game. What I think, is that you should be able to upload your Animal Crossing character as an outfit for the Villager on your 3DS or Wii U!

What do you think? Someone might have already come up with this, so maybe I'm infringing on someone's intellectual property, but it seems like it would be pretty fun to change the Villager's outfit if you owned New Leaf. Unfortunately, this would only be for Villager. I wish there some really cool costumes for the other characters too!

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

I like that idea a lot.

Not happening.

When an idea makes too much sense it's almost a given it's going to fly right over Nintendo's head.

It would be good, but that would mean a lot of stuff that would have to be programmed into Smash Wii U for the sake of that one character.

Bayonetta 2 says hello. One of the smartest moves i've seen, get Bayo1 free (with added content), also this is Sakurai!

Edit: It definitely wont happen with all characters, but i mean they are adding several other things that are more important (extra moves, customize stats, etc)

We also have the mii's which in this game have ton of customization!

Not really, unless the customization was so broad as to start impacting hitboxes. The rest would take up no more space than the actual customization possibilities in, say, Wild World or City Folk, which can't be too much at the end of the day.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

More a matter of effort than space.  They'd have to add in every outfit from animal crossing (there are alot btw) to both versions of Smash.

It was a given that was going to happen. You can't make a sequel exclusive to a console it's never been on before and not have previous installments.

And the fact that Miis are so customizable just leads me to believe they won't see the need to do the same for the Villager.
