Forums - Sales - 2nd August Global HW, USA &UK SW Up. TLoU Week. PS4 Beasting.

PS4 is killing their competitors. This is not fair Sony.

PS4 selling 7 times as much as XBone in Europe, and also PS3 sold twice as much as XBone in Europe.

I'm curious to see how much Destiny and white Bundle will boost PS4.  It's gonna be a BOOM !!!

Hype for Uncharted 4 will be off the charts...

Heh, totally slipped my mind.

With the PS4 having the mass market backing now and Uncharted 4 (Id assume) being the big holiday game for 2015... We could be looking at really big numbers.

I disagree. A lot of the new people who switch from MS to Sony (like me) wont want to buy Uncharted mainly because it's the #4 in the series. I have no idea what's been going on because I never played 1-3. Seems silly to hop into the fourth title in what I heard could be the last.

TLOU is the first in what will be many games so it was a good starting point for people.

i know im going to get extreme hate for this, but i genuinely cant understand why people are so excited about a remake of a year old game. and why people are so excited that its selling higher than it probably should.. i really really dont get it. i dont care what nintendo game gets remade, i would never be this hyped for a game ive already beat. can someone out there explain it to me without being sarcastic and aggressive? the reception this thing is getting seems unjustified to me.

There are probably a lot of people that owned a 360 before now own a PS4 and want to try this out for the first time? What's wrong about that?

nothing is wrong with that at all, but that doesnt really answer my question. i would bet most everybody dancing around, jumping for joy in this thread have played the last of us on ps3.

again, im just really curious as to why people are so hyped about a remake of a one year old game and the sales for it and what its doing for an already very successful console. i can see this kind of interest for like a new god of war game or something and the affect its having, but this? i am still not understanding.

and as a side note, if somebody wanted to play tlou so bad, why didnt they just get a ps3? way cheaper than spending 450 plus tax. so im not so sure that really has much to do with anything. i could be wrong though. it just seems a lot more reasonable to go the ps3 way..

Really nice boost for the PS4 similarly to the Watch Dogs boost it got a few months back. That's pretty impressive for a remastered version of a game less than a year old.

Xbox seems to still be struggling, cant say I'm surprised nothing notable has been released on it for awhile. Hopefully the MCC will have a big impact on the system because it needs some help (Although at this rate I don't even think MCC can help it).

Wii U still riding on the momentum of Mario Kart which isn't bad.

The Last of Us became The King of Us.

It's now The Sale of Us!

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I really wonder where Xbox One's new baseline will be, assuming it gets one... Hopefully better than before!

-snip

Will definitely outsell Uncharted 3, I think we're looking at a game that will at least sell 7 million copies lifetime here.

I'm thinking Carl meant closer to 10 million. I would have to agree.  8-9 mill, at least.

I like to be a little more conservative with this, but yeah I could also easily see 8-9 million.

I think the odds for an Uncharted Collection prior to or not long after Uncharted 4 aren't too bad. But even if those won't come, the Uncharted games can all pretty much be played without any prior knowledge about the series, no matter where you start, I think I started with the second game as well (which made it damn hard to go back to the first one after that)
