Forums - Gaming - Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC Edition Appears on Amazon UK

It's fake as mentioned by stinkles on neogaf who works for 343.

I think Microsoft is beta testing PC market. They never wanted to get involved in the console wars to begin with. They might launch Xbox service which might challenge steam.

I really hope MS doesn't go full retard and release the MCC on PC! >_>

Makes sense if they plan MCC to be a big lead in to Halo5, rekindle and hook as many on Halo before H5 drops.

I don't think that's going to be happening anytime soon.

I still think they'd have to be completely mad to put it on PC. "Hey guys, let's take our biggest system seller and put it on the most openly available platform so people don't need to buy an X1!"

Yes, but they may also be thinking "We don't have a high enough X1 attach rate and we don't see as many people buying it for this game as we would like!  Quick, put it on PC too so we can get more sales!"

Interestingly enough, Xbox consoles rank higher than the competition in terms of attach ratio.

if that does happen then this holliday the x1 will truly be dead this holliday. Sunset overdrive alone is not going to make people choose x1 over ps4. This will be like saying "yea we got beat, so were are quitting the x1 and focusing on pc".

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

They probably budgeted for it to sell 8 million copies...and it's hard to do that when you don't have even 6 million consoles in homes, so they decided to port to PC to try and break even on the project.

I thought their beta test was called Games for Windows Live, and it crashed and burned unceremoniusly.

Well Frank said 343 better start coding because they didn't get a memo for a PC version.
