The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
InComm, an Atlanta-based global provider of debit, stored-valued gift and prepaid card technology and products, said it is acquiring a point-of-sales service from Nintendo of America Inc., a company better known for its video gaming systems.
Incomm President and Chief Executive Officer Brooks Smith said the acquisition of SIRAS.com Inc will help InComm expand its asset control and POS services to retailers.
SIRAS’ technology helps manufacturers and retailers track and trace products. The company uses a unique “fingerprint” that helps clients identify counterfeit goods to reduce returns and fraud, and recover stolen products.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Redmond, Wash.-based SIRAS’ technology was originally developed to help Nintendo and its retailers better manage returns of video gaming systems before being expanded to cover other products.
SIRAS will become a subsidiary of InComm. Last year, InComm acquired another West Coast company, Portland, Ore.-based Giftango, a digital gift card service provider. Giftango, which also is a separate subsidiary. later changed its name to InComm Digital Solutions.

this has to be a troll post. This would have been Nintendo giving it up meaning they have other methods or plans to make up for them doing this.
It could have been written in fucking upside down hebrew and I would understand just as much...
Nintendo had a company that made a thing and now its sold...

"By tracking each product throughout its sales lifecycle by its unique fingerprint rather than by consumers' personal data, SIRAS respects and preserves anonymity. SIRAS provides valuable tools for its manufacturing, retailer, and law enforcement partners to optimize operations, resolve investigations, improve visibility, provide insights to enhance business intelligence and forecasting, and improve the consumer experience."
Taken straight from their website. Which is: siras.com
