Forums - Sales - UK Charts Week Ending 02 August 2014

Around 70k for a launch, huh? Not bad for a remake such as this.

Aside from that a few other surprises in the charts, as Ka-Pi has outlined. All in all a good week for the summer.

Also, keep things nice and civil in here please. No sly digs or flaming about "troll/doom/hate" threads, or anything else, will be tolerated from this point, thanks.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

So, the game that wasn't needed, a rip-off, a cash grab, a magnet for suckers.....sells better than Mario Kart, the biggest game on WiiU ever.
And doesn't do much worse that the most hyped XOne game ever, that was given away for free.

I would say that doom threads and articles didn't work as planned.

Wow that is interesting, especially the FIFA one.

Apparently people are actually buying a year old sports game on Xbox One. Shocking.

This can be attributed to the fact that there are still XOne/FIFA Day One bundles available on Day250. Nothing to get really excited about.

So Xbox One sales went up?! Yes!!!

Indeed.

I must say the UK market is interesting overall.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

I don't think that really has much to do it. Checking the 2 biggest retailers here and GAME has Day One bundles but they don't seem to have FIFA 14 included. While they are on Amazon but none left from Amazon itself just others using Amazons marketplace with the cheapest being about £120 more expensive than the standard Xbox One, can't see many people paying that much extra just for a Day One console.

You are probably correct. There is a constant offering of UK FIFA consoles here in Croatia, but those are probably unwanted leftovers counted as sales months ago.

It is very strange, though, to walk into the store and see a DayOne box on the shelf.
