Splatoon. An interesting concept, but I think will fail to deliver on mass appeal. I think some people will really like it, but most will think it just looks kinda weird. Along with this, it's a new ip, and it's on a failing system. Honestly, I think it's going to be lucky to get a million. My guess is that it will sell around 500-750k.

Not as much as people who are trying to find Wii U's saviour in new IP hope it will.

Depends on a lot of factors; SP campaign, marketing push, install base of the Wii U at launch.

I voted 1.25-1.5. But honestly I could either see this doing a meagre 750-800k, or it becoming another evergreen title like Mario Kart and doing 6-7m.

It's too early to tell, but I do think it has the potential to do very well based on the hype coming out of E3, how well that hype lasts though...

I'm betting it will break a million in lifetime, not much more. Though it was heavily focused at E3 and if Nintendo actually markets it, then maybe more.

I voted 2-2.5 million because it is a awesome twist on a popular genre.

I'm going to be kinda surprised if Splatoon doesn't manage to reach 1 million! I'm hopeful that Nintendo will actually market it, too!

Wow, people really have no idea. The polls and the responses are all over the place. It feels like a HUGE unknown to me at this point. It's a new IP, but there's a lot of hype surrounding it already, and we've seen what that's done for new IPs already this gen. But then, not for all new IPs. I dunno, I feel like nobody has a clue about this. I'll wait to see more, both of the game and people's reaction to it, before I take a guess.

I can see it hitting at least 750K. 1M is a bit of a stretch, but still possible.
