Tell me about it Xo

It's just what outlawauron said, about how he missed RCTjunkie's bulletproof claim. I mean that one was way more glaring, yet he missed it. I thought maybe I had overestimated how close scum were paying attention.

Fair enough, but I don't think we can completely fall on the side of inattention as its defense. It was a curious (lack of a) move, and should be noted as one.

@Khan

Oh, but you are alone! Who knows what you've spoken to the darkness? In bitter watches of the night, when all your life seems to shrink, the walls of your bower closing in about you, like a hutch to trammel some wild thing in! *puts hand on Khan's cheek* So fair, so cold, like a morning of pale spring still clinging to winter's chill...

u wot m8?

Also @Sparks I didn't recognize the slip at first but when it was discussed latter I kinda put two n two together, tho I have no idea what he can do. It wasn't exactly obvious, a least not as obvious as RCT's bullet proof vest blurt.

@padib cult raising army?.....

Confirming RCT isn't mafia again?

Jeez, relax, would ya. It's just a hypothetical, ie assuming there's one faction, why would the mafia risk wasting their kill on someone with a vest? It just doesn't add up.

Maybe some other party wanted to check his claim, but it's probably not mafia (in a single faction game).

Hey Sparks, I've played in a multi-faction game before though I was town. I think that mafia only know who is in their faction and who isn't . They wouldn't know who is town and who is not and are less aware than in a single faction game. Someone else could confirm that though.

If RCT is mafia, it would be in their interest to test RCT's claim and possibly kill him. Since town voted on his scumminess for a good part of day 1, it's possible faction B is trying to diminish the numbers of faction A, since mafia factions are more threatening to each other than town is to them.

There is also hint of a cult in this game, so RCT may be a cultist who has the chance to survive the first night in order to have a chance to raise an army. We don't know.

1. That doesn't need confirmation. It's pretty clear that mafia A wouldn't know which players are on mafia B. Otherwise it would be a pretty short game.

2. If RCT is mafia B, the only reason to try and kill him (as mafia A) would be to score townie points by claiming vigilante. However, there are also plenty of townie points to be had simply by pushing for a lynch on a player who at the end of yesterday was already being considered a prime contender for lynch today.

3. There is a hint of a cult being defeated and removed. That role you just made up is nonsense. Please stick to simpler ideas.

Not to get off topic but is it strange that I read smeag's message to Khan I read it in Bane's voice from the latest batman movie? Back on topic..seriously is that raising an army thing a real thing? Also any others that gave off they were magic users? Or is Cone the only one so far that we suspect due to the cleric blurt earlier?

Is there any kind of role that benefits from dying? I mean yesterday he seemed eager to sacrifice himself. I don't know why a townie would want to do that and why they wouldn't fight for their freedom or life. Perhaps that is just what kind of guy he is? Maybe he did have a vest and he knew it would protect him from being lynched, do they work like that?*{1} But why share that info?*{2} and why share he lost it?*{3} Perhaps he is a townie and he did lie and he simply did it to make a target of himself?*{4} I mean after all TheProf was targeted, most likely because he did the most detectvie work yesterday. We also know Padib used his one shot and is an easy target now.*{5} Perhaps he said it to try and make a bigger target of himself? Is that a possibility?

1. Not traditionally. Bulletproof, as the name implies, protects someone from a mafia shot, or sometimes a vigilante's shot. It's doesn't protect from lynching (few things do).

2. It happens a lot when people are about to die. Doesn't mean it's true.

3. I have no idea.

4. Actually, claiming bulletproof would probably make you less of a target, hence the confusion (where is rct, by the way?)

5. He's not an easy target. He's (probably) a vanilla townie now = less likely to be targeted, actually. Why waste a kill on a vanilla, when you got the chance to kill a power role.

Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to hear others' thoughts before I gave you mine.

haha

Yes, there have been cults before...and everyone hates them. However, they are not a real threat in this game, just a figment of padib's bizarre imagination. Focus on the simple until the simple doesn't make sense anymore, not the other way around.

Sure.

At the time of my vote for OutlawAuron (4), RCTJunkie (5) was in the lead to be lynched, with Cone third in voting (3). Nicklesbe and NoName then switched their votes from RCT to Outlaw (Outlaw 6, RCT 3, Cone 3). This in effect put Outlaw in the lead, but now Cone and RCT were tied for second.

Then Padib changed his vote from RCT to Sparks (Outlaw 6, Cone 3, RCT 2, Sparks 1), putting Cone in second for a lynch. Knowing what we know about ConeGamer and a potential cascade lynch (as all we have is Padib's word), Prof pleaded for people to put RCT back in second. He unvoted RCT and voted for Outlaw without bolding. (Outlaw 5, Cone 3, RCT 3, Sparks 1)***

Hylian instead changes his vote from RCT to Sparks (Outlaw 5, Cone 3, Sparks 2, RCT 2). Prof once again fears for Cone. Twice even.

***At this point I did not see Prof's vote, and based off the vote totals I thought were in effect (Outlaw 6, Cone 3, Sparks 2, RCT 1) I made the call to change my vote from Outlaw to Sparks (Oulaw 5, Cone 3, Sparks 3, RCT 1) to ensure a tie with ConeGamer. In case of a cascading lynch, there would be no lynch due to a tie. I even asked if that constituted as a safety net for Cone. Again I asked if that would be enough for Cone's protection (no one ever answered me during the ensuing chaos).

Either way, whether it was a tie with you or a tie with RCT, Cone would have survived in case of an unforseen cascading lynch. That's why I voted for you.

To expound on 2 again:

Why would a team waste a kill on a player with a vest when instead they could just kill one of you five who pushed for rct's lynch, and then push? IE: mafia kills padib and then in the morning says "vote: rct. I have every indication that rct is mafia and that padib was picked because of his leadership against the suspect".

That would score massive town points and remove another player from the pool. The less players are killed, the longer the game goes, the more likely mafia lose.
