True, good for them they will have a choice.  

Sports and movie sure did not work well for Xbox1 well anyhwere really, any reasoning why it should in china ?

I think their only issue is price. It's quite expensive, and alot of the gamers that can afford this most likely prefers pc. If they can get the price to around US levels, then they will do much better.

Actually Microsoft have got a lot of Chinese games on board already, including Neverwinter an F2P MMO from a Chinese company as well as King of Wushu a Chinese MOBA game.

But aren't those two available on PC as well? Not much incentive to spend $600 there.

They need something like that, but only on XOne, and then promote the crap out of it. But those types of games will be hard to replicate on a console, due to a miniscule user base.

I played Neverwinter up to Level 35 as a hunter ranger. Wasn't really impressed and it needs a lot of work if it wants to be a good MMO. I was broken as f*** and while it was entertaining at the beginning, it still doesn't change the fact that Neverwinter has balancing issues.

I know I don't speak for the Chinese gaming community, but good on MS at pushing on the MMO's, at least.

where are similar deals for other countries?

 

give them premier league in uk for free 1 year

give them nfl gamepass for free one year in the us

give them bundesliga for free one year in germany.

 

i bet that would move some consoles. because its would be a ~200 dollar or even more pricecut for the people, who already pay for that leagues...

(i personally would prefere free nfl).
