Last I heard the 3DS is in between the N64 and the GameCube in terms of power and graphics.

I'm inclined to agree with this.

I swear we've had this thread at least 2 times already...

The way I see it, 3DS games look sharper, Gamecube games look more polished... if that makes sense.

On a technical level, Nintendo handhelds have historically been about give-or-take on par with the Nintendo home system 2 gens behind. Whether that means Nintendo's next handheld will sit anywhere between the 360-Wii U remains to be seen though.

Are you absolutely sure that this is the 3DS version? Cause this beats RE4 Gamecube hands down IMO.

Though this isn't a big deal what so ever, I think they are sort of on par on each other, but at the end of the day, 3DS is portable so I never bother to compare. I do however think 3DS is way more colourful, but I imagine that's because tech has improved since Gamecube lol. Not too bothered about which console has better graphics, I enjoyed them both so yeah win-win lol

It's effects rather than raw "power" though. The shadows are a GPU trick and it's also an incredibly basic environment, which is why 3DS can produce stuff that looks far better than the GCN, but without the complexity.

Gamecube. 3DS just has better shaders.
