To be fair, releasing a game that isn't considered complete, or any good in its current state, would be pulling a Duke Nukem Forever, no? o.O Could be that Sony just knows NOT to pull a Duke Nukem Forever.

Then maybe tell us whats going on, instead of teasing us with it?

Don't get me wrong, I agree with that. I'm not even looking forward to it myself, I hopped aboard the Sony train before the whole Last Guardian thing even begaaan. xD Anyway, allow me to sum up, I believe, all the pertinent points spread across this thread into a SINGLE post for you, so that you can get all the points.
1) There is no 'port to PS4' button. To put it in VERY basic terms, the PS3 speaks a completely different language than the PS4; so moving a game to it, you need to translate it, from start to finish, into the new language, and there is no 'Automatic Translate' button. In layman's terms, it would be like trying to translate The Bible from Aramaic (very old language) into English... only you have no Google Translate. Just lots of old books, a pencil, and PLENTY of patience and painstaking work. In many ways, the Xbox 360 has an easier time of it, because their architecture was a lot easier to work with, a lot closer to the 'normal' design; which is why so many multiplats looked and functioned better on 360.
2) There IS demand for the game, not just from those who played it once and loved it, but from those who jumped ship from Xbox, or moved from Nintendo, basically folks who didn't OWN a PS3 and are interested in the title. I spent some time around a Playstation forum, back in the wake of E3 2013, when people were LIVID about the old policies (before they were reversed a week later.) Plenty of new people, a flood even, joining the forums from Xbox, or Nintendo, and more than a few mentioned 'Aw yeah, that Naughty Dog game looks awesome, I hope they eventually bring it over, cause I don't have a PS3.'
3) Sony CAN track who has, or hasn't played it, because of trophies. As game trophies are uploaded to the servers, Sony can literally see if you've played PS3 games, which ones you played, how far you got in each. So it's not hard for them to KNOW if there's the potential for demand. If they say 'x percent of people didn't own a PS3,' then they say it because the person's registered accounts had NO PS3 trophies on it, suggesting they never played a PS3 game.
4) So, we've established there's demand for it; we've established Sony KNOWS there's demand for it; which means that if it does sell well, (and suggestions are it's selling quite well,) then how is it they SHOULDN'T have made it? o.O
