Thats a fair opinion. I believe those games however lack in the animation department where TLOU shines

That at least is true. TLOU's 7th gen geometry makes it hard for it to truly stand up against 8th gen titles, but the animation is unrivaled.

Glad I didn't bother buying the unpolished beta release.

From what I have seen, the Graphics are not up to those Three in the 8th gen. It is kind of expected since it is a port of sorts. But why does it matter, I assume itś the gameplay and story that makes it great, not the graphics?

I feel that it is a massive strength of Naughty Dog that is often forgotten. Uncharted 2 still looks damm good despite its age mostly due to the fantastic and lifelike animation
Personally, I haven't picked it up yet, but I feel it's kind of level with inFamous. Second Son almost certainly has better lighting, but doesn't win on everything
As for polished, the Kotaku article on all the glitches in the game didn't suggest a typical Naughty Dog level of polish
I think its close.
I'm probably going to catch flack for this but I was not in the very least impressed with Killzone SF. Not sure what people saw in it... I was way more impressed with BF4 single player graphics. ISS really impressed me as well.

TLOU would of course be amazing regardless, but the visual presentation does help set the stage for the story as well as make the combat so damn intense.
Overall i agree though, its graphics can't really stand up to titles like Killzone, inFamous and Ryse. That said, the animation quality and art direction really help it stand out against most 8th titles. The only thing really holding it back is the 7th gen geometry.

While I don't own a X1 I have played Ryse and while it looks good it's just a shitty game.
Last of Us: Remastered is a very good looking game and I agree is very well polished. It deserves to be mentioned with the games listed in the OP for sure. Infamous: SS gets the best looking game of the this Gen so far award though :-p

Yha i know what you mean. It would look so good if they could have smoothed some of those sharp edges out. Still looks great with the up res'd textures tho.
