Forums - Sony - Sony is turning things around!

I want the Vita to be successful, but at the rate SCEA and SCEE is treating it, it's going to continue to sell at low numbers. Hopefully, the PS (Vita) TV will help increase the install base in the west considering that it's only $99. The system has a lot of potential, but Sony apparently doesn't want to lose money from investing on the Vita, so they left the indies to expand the library. However, a bunch of Vita gamers want higher budget games like a Gravity Rush 2.

Hopefully nintendo follows. PS4 just needs the games for further propelling,

Must resist trolling the vita......

Anyway, I am glad that sony is back in the money making business. Last years fat trimming, although unfortunate for those who lost their jobs, did wonders. Fingers cross that they can keep up the trend. I would hate to see them go back to real estate selling buildings again. :P

I think its little early to be celebrating.Lets see what the full year financial report brings.

It isn't the Playstation division that's hurting Sony. We all know that division is doing fine (Sony is still projected to lose nearly half a billion US dollars for the fiscal year). It's everything ELSE Sony is doing. Sony is investing in real estate and smart wigs. These sorts of strategies are what's hurting Sony.

Doesn't matter, Microsoft makes more money anyway, and don't have losses for years.
And X1 is making a turnaround so Sony won't make a profit this year anyway.

Why is it so obvious to see when a user is salty like you are? It's like some people just refuse to accept that Sony really did do quite well this quarter.

Also how would that supposed X1 turnaround stop Sony from making a profit this year (if they were projecting one to begin with)?

Sony won't make a profit, X1 will eat from their sales.

Game division is not enough, Sony should just call it quits.

Sony mobile needs to step it up.........

Ah now I understand why you made that thread about the X1 in ths US that got locked.

The first sentence makes zero sense at all, do yourself a favour and take a look at how much influence both the X1 and the PS4 actually have on the whole companies sales. Also you've been saying that for quite a while now, that the X1 would eat into the PS4s sales, still hasn't happened though.

Second sentence is just as pointless "they can't win on gaming alone so they should stop trying at all", great, newsflash: Sony isn't trying to turn the company around on the gaming division alone. But I suspect that this is less of a real suggestion to Sony and more of a hope so you can see your favourite system at the top of the charts.
