She did great playing a guy.  Hana Kimi is a classic and Maki Horikita won Best Actress for her performance.  It's a really funny series.  Probably still one of the most recommended J-dramas out there.

There have been a lot of misses with manga/anime adapted into live action but there have also been some real hits.

I've been watching the first season of Hitori No Shita - The Outcast to catch up to the current season. I plan on watching Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls but I might watch the original anime first.

So far, it's been a much better season than I thought it was gonna be. I might drop boruto for a while though, it's fairly slow.

Wow...that's impressive.

Where did that bucket come from!! This comedy is perfection. It's like the live action Looney Tunes I've always dreamed of.

So far my standouts are Takagi-san, Yuru Camp, and Violet Evergarden. I know the last is hyped to hell and back, but I'm enjoying it regardless. Last episode with the princess was really good, too bad we probably won't see her again though. Next episode seems like it'll add some drama. *scratches chin*

Not gonna rank characters yet, but my favorite OP so far is this one. Catchy as hell.

Pokoko might've beat me to the punch but I'm still gonna claim best girl of the Season for myself.

Devilman Crybaby is great and everyone should watch it, that is all.

Yeah, its definitely not for everyone xD but its a nice change of pace from the usual anime that come out. Also, damn Miki broke my heart all over again  with her death.

Well, it took awhile, but I finally finished Non Non Biyori, and I have to say, it was a fun watch overall. I like the concept of kids enjoying their daily lives in the rural parts of Japan. It really made me chuckle when the country kids would get excited over convenient stores or using cellphones. Having the Tokyo kid there also made it interesting seeing her adjust to the country life. I do recall that if you lived there, you needed a car just to get basic things, like groceries and convenient stores.

Also, the characters are really great. I think Renge may be my favorite, especially her and Candy Store as a pair. They're so cute together and Candy Store is just a great guardian to Renge. Their moments were really sweet.

Overall, really good watch, though by the 2nd season, it was starting to get a little stale..
