Aldnoah.Zero episode 6 spoilers:
This was a pretty decent episode imo. It didn't bog itself down too much with politics, which seem to be my main problem with the show. I still have a problem with the Emperor and the motivations of the Martians, but I'm trying to not let that affect my enjoyment of everything else.
This episode did try to flesh out Marito a lot better than before, but I don't really love his characterization. I wish it was more subtle, but subtlety is often a victim of making a show overly mainstream. Additionally, the tone was a little too cheery in some sections, once again, likely due to the target audience.
In contrast to Marito, the characters of Slade, the MC, the rebel girl and the Princess I like a lot. The actions of these characters feel logical and I really hope they keep them going in the same direction they are pointing them in now. Slade and the rebel girl have an interesting bipartial dynamic so I am interested to see if they will be developed as foils to each other...
