Not exactly a director collab, but I'd love to see something between Kunihiko Ikuhara and Gen Urobochi. Something that catches you by surprise, takes out your heart, rips it up, and still manages to satisfy in the end.

Quentin Tarantino-san x Any Anime director is my next choice.

Assassination Classroom is getting intense. I'm worried about Koro-sensei...and yet part of me feels like everything is building up to an obvious closure for him. I get the impression this anime will destroy me, and still feel satisfying in the end. Only a few more episodes to confirm if that's true.

This reeks of Utena remake...

I know I want Michael Giaccinno to make an anime soundtrack at least once... Hey, if Hans Zimmer scored one, why can't he? I just wish Horner was still alive...

Next time I go swimming, I'm gonna become a pro floater ^^

The flotilla scene with the kids in swimming class was so funny.

Also, I think Ecchan might be my waifu for this season.

Just watched The Boy and the Beast. Great movie with plenty of good themes built around a touching story. Overall I'd say it's a solid 8.5 or 9 out of 10 for me.

It took Hero Academia 10 episodes to get interesting but the last two have been really good. Frog girl has been the star so far.

Tsuyu is pretty great. I like that we saw the hot girl's power too...even if I feel like it has the potential to be OP later on. And lightning boy's aftereffect cracked me up.

I'm probably in the minority, but I actually like that the story is taking its time to get where it needs to go. Not every episode has kept me at the edge of my seat, but I enjoy learning more about the characters, and watching Izuku grow in the process. I find myself smiling several times an episode, more than most of the shows I'm watching this season.

Still...a lot of this season is definitely set up, so it'd be wasted if the anime doesn't get renewed. Otherwise, this whole season just strikes me as a big advertisement for the manga. Which...is honestly more than possible, given the purpose of adaptations like this in the first place. Doesn't mean I don't reserve the right to growl about it.

On that note, I've been doing my damnedest to avoid manga spoilers, but I'm curious if All Might will be killed off during this fight. I kinda doubt it, since he's been given the teacher role...but at the same time, it seems like he's been getting death flags for a while. We'll find out soon I suppose.

Depends, kind of.  If this is a 24+ episode series, that's fine, but if not, I think they could have cut one or two episodes of content, especially of pre-Academy material, with very little impact.  It's not like the main character needed a lot of initial exposition.  He started out as simple they come.  It's no big deal but I didn't really find this series interesting until they started introducing his classmates.  As it stands, I still don't care about him all that much and think several of his classmates are a lot more engaging.

Regarding that spoiler, it wouldn't surprise me much, though I don't know if it will happen yet.  However, you know that moment will come eventually.

finally Dragon Ball Super is getting somewhere.. this first episode of the new arc with Future Trunks was brutal..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Finally watched all of Season 1 of Log Horizon.

This is all my opinion but the first 6 or so episodes I found great, but the rest was quite slow and worse then SAO. The MMO / gaming anime always seem so poorly made compared to normal anime or even Sports anime. Anyone got a top pick for gaming anime?

Since it's E3, today's topic will be light. Are you interested in sports anime? If not, name the reason/s why not and/or things that might help you get into the genre or simply say you just don't like sports :P

Personally, I love sports anime like Hajime no Ippo, Slam Dunk, Prince of Tennis, Eyeshield 21,etc.  There's just something really relatable about them giving their all to win a game or a match. I guess, it's because I love sports in general and being an athlete I've felt the same emotions they go through when losing and winning.
