You could try out Hunter x Hunter (big maybe on this one since there's less emphasis on fights for an action shounen series and I didn't get much of an impression as I would've expected) , Bleach, Sword Art Online, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Psycho-Pass (first season only), Fairy Tail (if you can stand the hyperactive protagonist), Nanatsu no Taizai, Future Diary, and Kiseijuu off the top of my head are the ones I would recommend going by your viewing preferences ...

Definitely my new series this past year.  Had a lot of great moments and I  really enjoyed the performances.  Glad to read there's an OVA coming at some point because I want to find out who won that last damn contest.

While I thought the show was basically junk, that umbrella scene was wonderful

YES!!!! and what's scary is that, i watched that episode at school, and it was raining at that time. SO when i was going home, everyone had their umbrellas and i just kept remembering that scene =D

CRAZY fight scenes in the second last ep of Tokyo ghoul S2!
I wonder if were going to get another Intense fight scene like in the ending of S1.

I also need to catch up on Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso!! It ranked really high in Myanimelist.

No since the series will have adapted up to the 10th volume of the web novel which is pretty up to date considering the retail light novel is only going to be releasing it's 9th volume next week! 

There will be no season 3 in the near future unless the author gets more material sorted out for adaption or unless ofcourse they decide to go anime original ...

It's so sad that Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is over now. The best series i've seen in a long time. :/
Also excited for the last 2 Aldnoah episodes, haven't seen ep. 23 yet.
