Forums - Microsoft - EA Announces Subscription Service On Xbox One: EA Access

I can't imagine why it would stay exclusive to Xb one. It should at least come to PC, and Xbox360. I'm guessing this takes EA games off the table with games with Gold, as it would with PSN+ if it ever came to PS3/4. EA gets all the money with its EA Access model whereas it probably sees bugger all money with the games with Gold / PSN+ model.

Oh. Well this is awkward :P. Thought gen 7 games were going to be in too. Granted this news is only a few hours old so any misinterpretation this early is expected.

That said, this catalogue will only grow. And core gamers are allready subbing to Live Gold and PS Plus for multiplayer in general/free games, so yes, this should not be factored in to the pricing as it is seperate. Leave that tired gen 7 argument in gen 7 please.

It might be good 3 years from now, but right now its not very good imo. Its EA, so I assume the bare minimum every time they talk about a deal.

Ya that's true, launches rarely have enough content day 1. 2015 should be a much better time to consider.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

so lets put in the internet provider costs as well.

250 bucks a year at least

do u need xbl to play those games offline? (i dont think so)

So you pay for half of the game... Got it.

even if u pay full price 60 dollar for a disc copy.

u still pay for half of the game as wehave to apply the same logic

Yes, but it wont be 90$ a year to play it online...

it would be 120$ the first year to play it online

it would be 60$ to play it online the second year

at ea vault:

it would be 90$ first year to play it online

90$ to play it second year online

u get it? its useless to talk about it that way. just diffent pricing models

and now u will say: u just get 1 year old games, or u dont have to buy full price copys

i anser:  u will get 4! games and in the second or third year maybe even more, or other games...

No, you dont get new games included with the 30$ subscription. You only get 10% off it.

You can hate on EA all you want, but some things they do are pretty epic.. Free GOOD Origin games, this.. EA could be such a good company if, well, they weren't bad. I know it makes too much sense but I just want to say that it's a shame they have some bad traits and habits.

You said 120 for the first year with physical games.

So how would it be 90$ a year if you had EA Access?

54$+60$+30$=144$

Think you are not grasping the scope of this. EA's back catalogue is far........far more then Battlefield and yearly sports titles. To be able to play any of them at your leisure, most without Gold, is a amazing plus.

Again, Live Gold or PS Plus for multiplayer, is seperate, and implied.

What old games. Its just XB1 games...

Lol. Amazing.

I wonder if this will mean we'll never see EA games again for GWG on XB1. Why put a game up for GWG and let Microsoft take the money when you can put it in your service and get the money?

what? i was talking about ONE game u bought at launch for the 60$ price tag

to play it online the first year, u have to add the 60$ for xbox live gold

just like u added the cost of xbox live gold for the ea access.
