With your logic the PS3 and 360 should have been less popular because CoD was on PC.

Many popular PS3 and 360 games were on PC. Exclusives aren't the primary reason people buy a console.

The best selling games on PS4 and X1 are on PC as well.

You're correct and I understand what you're saying.  However my point is if there's no exclusive Halo, what reason is there to own a XB1?  If you already have a gaming PC but you want in on that new Killzone and Infamos and Uncharted, you go get a PS4.  You also want some next-gen Destiny action, you've got a PS4.  But then Halo is coming and you want Halo... you've got a PC already.

Do you see what I mean?  There's no "reason" to drop $400 for Halo 5 ... if you can already play Halo 5.

The simple answer is most people interested in a X1 don't have a gaming PC, its a very different market. People out of touch with the average consumer forget that.

Anyhow, Halo:MCC coming to PC doesn't mean Halo 5 would come to PC anytime soon. Halo 1 and 2 came PC, but where is 3?

Well of course it's a differet market.  People like yourself are going to buy Xbox anyway.  I don't know what you're on about with the "people out of touch" comment but I digress.  Yeah the group that only buy consoles will buy XB1, but if you're a PC gamer who skipped a gen, which 8th gen console do you get?

The point is - again - what is an exclusive?  What is the must have game on any Xbox if it isn't Halo?  I am talking about that large group of people that are on the fence about what system to get.  If you have a gaming PC, what does Xbox One offer?  We all know what PS and Nintendo offer.  If Halo's on a PC, buying a Xbox One is redundant.

If I'm a PC gamer which console do I get? Depends which games I want to play.

Your argument is only valid if every Xbox One exclusive comes to PC. There are still a bunch of Xbox 360 exclusives that never came to PC.

And once again, Halo:MCC coming to PC doesn't guarantee we'll see Halo 5, 6, or any other potential games in that series on PC anytime soon.
