for those with the Shield, What do you think of it?

Recently I sold my PSP with the thought of upgrading to a PSP GO but came across the Shield portable price is now resonable!  $200 seems like a great price for this device. The Targa 4 process sure does help. I plan to use it mainly for Emulation PSP, DS, PS1, Dremacast, ect.

is the controller confortable? is the battery long lasting?

Ohh by the way some non related information, The Nvidia Shield tablet just came out recently and its a power house O.o... it has the K1 proccessor which ive seen run Gamecube emulator with playable FPS

I'd recommend a Vita or 3DS.

No. I don't own one, but I used one several times. The concept is good-ish, but the execution is horrid. The system is massive and is anything but a portable device. PC gaming on it is a joke, the stream capacity works, but you need one expensive PC for it and lag is noticeable, and it simply wont work on most mid-end connections.

The battery is decent for what it is, but its big, chunky, and I would recommend either a 3DSXL or a PSV.
