Final Fantasy VII

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

I don't buy a console for one game. I purchase consoles based on multiple games that I'm interested in.

I'm buying a Wii U for Smash Bros, Xenoblade, several other games I have less interest in, and Wii backwards compatibility.

I'm buying a PS4 for a bunch of cross gen games, remastered ports, The Crew, Bloodborne, and Infamous Second Son.

I think growing up it definitely was a killer game that got me to get a system, a Mario Bros. or Sonic is why I wanted the system. Since been able to buy systems myself it is more about libraries and feeling comfortable with a console makers track record.

Last game that made me have to get a system was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on N64.
