My opinion of them is low for the most part. Those that would happily recommend a product without mentioning they are getting paid to promote it for example (like the incident a little while back). They are those that got lucky and seem to whine at the smallest of issues that might affect their youtube "career" (like companies not wanting youtubers to advertise on their products).

However there are a few I do like, XboxAhoy is fantastic as he produces quality productions that aren't just some 15 yr old talking rubbish and playing badly.

If you were to join come up with something original, don't just record gameplay and then talk rubbish over it, there's hundreds of them, all doing it badly I might add.

I probably will do a facecam. Maybe just a screen capture with my voice because I want people to see what I am reading as well as be accurate with my news.

There are only 3 people worth following in the YouTube gaming community rageaholic, super bunnyhop, and matthewmatosis. They give good critiques of the gaming industry while also providing solid reviews. If you seriously want to join the YouTube gaming community take your inspiration from these guys.

I don't watch any of it, so can't really say for sure.

It's a cluster-fuck.. That's all that can be said about the so called " Youtube gaming community".

Umm... Who cares about this co-called Youtube gaming community?

Never heard of ones you listed, so no opinion.

I find most YouTube people offer little and try too hard to be funny. I have managed to find some good channels over the years that entertain or educate me, but the generic "person staring into a camera and stating opinion" tends to bore or irritate me.

The only gaming videos I watch on YouTube are the old Angry Video Game Nerd videos, and his new James & Mike Monday's videos. Or Gamexplain whenever I can't find a particular star in a Super Mario game.

Mostly a bunch of drama queens who make a big deal out of the smallest little thing and have a competition to out expose the other. Their fanbase is rather toxic too, so I would just avoid them.

I completely agree with you. But what I want to do is establish a fanbase as well as bring some of THEIR fanbase. Their fanbases arent all morons. Anyone can comment on my vids but if a so called raging fanboy comments on my vid I will not pay any attention to him. There are people who make pretty good points in comment sections but are forced to rage because of the rest of the people commenting. People on VGChartz are very chill and rational so most of you will be my audience. To show how much I like the people here I can ask you people what you want me to talk about.

I like the Normal Boots and Hidden Block guys. Also, Boogie2998 and TotalBiscuit.
