You're not backing him up by saying that. You're backing ME up, but you think you're backing him up.
If you want to get into the discussion of what will have which effect, then we can do that. Hyrule Warriors is releasing in August in Japan... and Famitsu's "most wanted games" chart has that game in 4th position - putting it ahead of Kingdom Hearts 3, Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire, and on votes, just a tiny bit behind Final Fantasy XV. Stop and think about that. Hyrule Warriors is more wanted than Pokemon or Kingdom Hearts, and almost as anticipated as Final Fantasy.
As for the west... have you seen how much hype the game is gathering? People who had dismissed it as just Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda skin are now excited for the title. People assumed it would only appeal to the Musou fans, but it's actually appealing strongly to Zelda fans, in a way that few titles before have done. It's a Zelda title that isn't suffering from the Zelda Cycle, basically.
You can argue "system seller" all you want, but every one of the games (except Captain Toad, arguably) fills a gap in the Wii U's lineup. That means they increase the apparent value of the system, and thus help to improve sales. System sellers are games that people will buy a system for on their own, but lots of non-system-seller games can drive sales by pushing the apparent value above the price (for a particular person). Zelda fans who would buy a Wii U for the new main Zelda title may choose to buy for Hyrule Warriors because they know they can also get Zelda U when it comes. Kind of like how quite a few people went out and bought a Wii U after E3, not so much because of games already released, but because of the combination of known coming games and released games that they figured they could play in the meantime.
I'm quite confident in saying that the benefit to Wii U of their holiday lineup will be much greater than the benefit to the Xbox One from release in the next batch of countries (barring the week of launch itself, where there will be a launch boost of some scale). This does not mean that Wii U will necessarily remain ahead of Xbox One, in part because the Xbox One also has games that will be released. Any effect that release in Russia, etc, has is going to be drowned out by things like game releases, the holiday sales season, advertising/promotions, etc - on both sides.
Arguing that Xbox One will end up ahead of Wii U because of the release in Israel is like asserting that one cyclist will beat another cyclist because they bought a new helmet - sure, it might make a very small difference, but there are much more important factors, and arguing from the helmet angle makes it sound like there's nothing about the actual cyclists that will matter, when they're the most important part.
