Forums - Microsoft - Xbox One reaches 5 million! (VG Chartz)

Not sure where to post this . Seemed like a good place here since many of the people who claim this are in this thread but I just realized something. For all the people saying the PS4 is only about 2 million in the lead right now... its also less than 3 million away from sellin what they WiiU and XB1 have LTD!!!!! Think about that for a second

@Nintenacle: 2,5 million is very low, to give you an idea the X360 in his first year sold 4.2 million consoles between half july and January so the XBO has to do a lot worse, while that year for X360 was really bad (the RROD problems, hyped Wii/PS3 release).

I can not really predict for Wii U, I feel like the Wii U will struggle with some sales again..Bayonetta and Hyrule warrios are also hard to predict, one group is expecting those games to fail and others expect they can sell more than 1 million... Can't really say witch group is wrong or right... I hope Wii U can do 3 million...(their are not more exclusives releasing for Wii U?)..

Those problems arose in 2005? I thought it only became a big problem for MS in 2007?

No it became a problem from almost the start and in 2006 their was an update that caused consoles to crash, 2007 was the dutch program that created problems for MS in EU...    I remember it pretty well the forums on vgchartz were full with hate and anger =p...  (then it was more fun because all console were hated lol)

So even with those problems, the 360 was still outselling the X1 in the same time frame. Yikes!

problem with that is that Xbox in previous generations hardly even performed in all those regions...Majority of them have always been sony controlled. dont know how much of a different that would be, we have to wait and see. 

I knew someone would quote me quick and mention that. You fail to realize that this is a new console and not the 360. If the 360 didn't do well that doesn't mean the one will fail. Microsoft will market it well and with the right games it might do better. Sales will increase even if you guys think otherwise. I remember when the other side said kinect was going to fail and not sell.....it became the fastest selling device in history. So I believe the one will do good. Haters gonna hate.

Dude you are giving the X1 way too much credit... if the Kinect was such a success, it wasnt have been made optional. Also the X1 is the fastest salling console?

where did you hear that? Not saying that MS wouldnt do any marketing, but many people who say that fail to realize that Sony isnt just goiing to lay there and take it. Pretty sure Sony will in turn do all in thier power to keep the lead and maintain control of these regions. Not all Microsoft exclusive will appeal to everyone and vice visa. However, to act like the PS brand hasnt ALWAYS outsold the Xbox brand globally is just ignorant, thing like that do play a factor in the next generation especially with all the negative PR which plagued and some which still plague the X1. The world pays attention too.

I was talking about the original kinect for the 360. Do a simple google search and you'll find out for yourself. You can keep bashing the Xbox because you probably don't like it or don't have one. Xbox one is doing fine and will do better this holiday. Whoever thinks otherwise is just a fanboy. Both are doing good and will continue too so stop hating.

Actually it does.

You can't seriously expect the X1 to do better than the 360 in any region. Why would more people  than those who actually owned a 360 buy an X1 when the trend is the other way around?

Also the difference between you and the "haters" is the simple definition of "good". Yours seems to be a bit more forgiving. Unless of course you want to enlighten us with your definition of "good" in terms of sales.

man I have a Xbox 360 for over 5 years. WTF people feel you cant critisize shit if you dont own it? Why dont you bring real arguements here and quit beating around the bush...and you werent talking about the 360, we were talking about the kinect for Xbox 1. Maybe you should pay attention to my post and get with the program. Everyone act like reality is some solipstic shit..it is not.
