hmm not funny, if the joke is getting the guy pissed, then i don't think the reaction you got was what you expected

It's not authentic when everyone else does it.

These prank videos are the WORST, even worse than annoying Let's Plays and "rap battle" videos that plague YouTube. We are giving you good advice - quit this. It's just making people mad, not laugh. "OH MAN LOOK I JUST ANNOYED A MINIMUM WAGE WORKER AT GAMESTOP - COMEDIC GENIUS! I AM THE NEXT SEINFELD!!" It doesn't work that way.

Go practice improv, or stand up. Work on comedy and sketches. Work hard at it and you can succeed.

they are authentic.. it actually doesnt matter how many people do prank call videos, especially when, as the poster before you mentioned, most of the time theyre fake. the calls we do are authentic.

i wasnt acting like how youre saying. i didnt say i was a comedic genius.. i have numerous times said that this call isnt that good.. i can see that, just like everybody else. our bread and butter is our hot pop videos, and i shared this one because it relates to video games. i think the hot pop videos are funny.. and so do a lot of other people.

some of you are being really vicious and i dont understand why. i mean, if you guys are so great and just morally superior to me, i wouldnt think that you would be acting so high and mighty about all this. like i said in my original post, im just tyring to make people laugh and bring them enjoyment. a lot of people on this site have messaged me and said they like my videos and think theyre hilarious, and im just trying to offer this stuff to the people who actually appreciate it. so if you dont like it, you have other choices than to misconstrue everything that im saying and make me out to be something im not.

he didn't seem to be "PISSED" like what it says on the title, but it was ok. Why didn't you upload it in 2012, since it says you recorded it then?

let me just point out that there is a HUGE difference between the first couple posters and some of the more recent posters in this thread. compare and contrast the two.

there is a huge point i think is important to be made here when you read everything that has been going on in this thread.. opinions are opinions. not facts. and there are two kinds of people in this world: people who believe their opinions are facts, and people who believe their opinions are opinions. and i know that from here on out that this thread is going to spiral out of control until a mod locks it (which is really sad because what i just said is completely reasonable). but thats fine. as i said before, i just want to make people laugh, and i failed to do that this time. im ok with that.

yeah i should change that title because youre right. its a little dramatic. but anyways, one of the thigns that me and my buddies always did when we hung out and drank beer was prank phone call people. just for fun. i started recording them and it wasnt until maybe a month or two ago that i started uploading all the stuff we did. :) but yeah, thanks for being civil at least haha

I don't think you should change the title, it will help you get more views if you leave it how it is. Just beware of people who don't go out of their parents basement often and take everything way too seriously and get mad all the time over a video.

Plus, there is no need to hate on a video (I'm not talking about the VGchartz comments on your thread. Most of them have been helpful criticism. I'm talking about YouTube comments that could possibly get on your video). Helpful criticism is good so the creator can learn upon their past mistakes, but seeing how lots of people on YouTube videos do nothing but hate, I say just ignore them. If you feed the troll, you will make a fool out of yourself.

thanks for that advice. i have been a youtube viewer since it came out, but i have never been a creator before so im not really sure what to do. i know there is all kinds of senseless hate on the internet, but i cant help but feel like the people who comment are sensible people who have something to offer haha. but really, we dont get nasty comments on our videos. only one video has anything bad on it, and it does because i attracted those people from this site. 

The reason I told you this is because I believe you COULD be funny. Take what we are saying to heart, cause you DO sound like you have talent. Don't waste it on harassing retail employees.

Sit down with friends, ask for advice, and even talk to improv teachers at your local college or comedy club. Work on it. When you have an idea a lot of people laugh at, expand on it, and turn it into a sketch.
