Forums - Gaming - Any boss character you just could not beat?

Devil may cry 1, the final fight with the tar/sludge boss thing. I was about 11 when i first got the game on PS2, i never beat the game untill recently with the HD collection

As a kid i spent days trying to kill "Ultimate Supreme Executive Chairman Drek" at the end of R&C1.

In the end i just went back and grinded for the R.Y.N.O. and beat his ass in 5 minutes :p

The last boss in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn but it doesn't really matter because I didn't really like the game anyway.

My Boss at work. i guess i could beat him, but i would get fired

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

The weird tank/angel thing from Persona 3. You have to somehow beat both at once but I cant figure out how so I havent played in months :p

Yeah I remember this one so well. One of the most frustrating sights when you attack one of the parts like 50 times to beat it only to have it be revived the next turn to full health. You basically have to attack them both at the same time while exploiting their weaknesses and finish them both at the same time. Otherwise they just keep reviving each other.

I could not figure out how to beat Dark Samus in Metroid Prime 2 and by the time you get to the second form of the final boss in Prime 3 you have very little "life" left

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Not really :3. If a boss gets extremely annoying, I change it to easy and beat them. Don't really care if the boss was giving me more trouble then what it was worth.

However if a boss is very much beatable through skill and different playstyles I keep it same difficulty I started on.

Sonic 2.
Maybe it was because I had to start all over, but I never was able to defeat Metal Sonic.

Probably every boss from Ninja Gaiden. After countless deaths I was forced to switch to the Lesser Ninja difficulty. I felt so ashamed I didn't pick up the game again.

Star Ocean huh... that's one of my JRPGs I have in my backlog... is there no difficulty switch in the game?

OT: For me it was Zeno in this Zatch Bell game for the Gamecube... The issue was the game was entirely based on difficulty. To play the story mode you had different difficulties, easy, normal, hard, very hard. Once you play on let's say easy... you get to a certain part and after you beat that boss, the game would go back to the main menu. At first when I played this, I was shocked as to what happened so I played on Normal. I got past the previous boss and I got to a boss in some freezer/ice level. Once i beat that boss, it went back to main menu. Hard mode, I got to the this massive purple enemy (demon like monster...

It was the last boss in the game, Zeno, on I believe very hard, and he jus destroyed me. I barely lasted 30 seconds too. Turned off the game and never looked back :(
