Did somebody mention Remedy and Quantum Break? That's not one to really get excited about because Remedy is just a bunch of B Players ( note: Not B+ players even ). Not really in Sony Santa Monica or Naught Dog's league.

Ain't no Sony studio as inovative as Remedy. Gameplay wise no studio Sony have can touch them.

Like I told you games are not only for graphics showcase. Alan Wake and Max Payne are not even B+ games now.

Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, MediaMolecule, ThatGameCompany, Sony Santa Monica, Team ICO routinely crush them ( and every other Microsoft developer).  Quantic Dream and Ninja Theory certainly hold their own.

Any game that has a Metacritic / GR score over 95 or that received 10s from America's two Greatest Gaming Journalists Dave Halverson or Nick Rox the founders of the only American Gaming Magazines worthy of being compared to Famitsu, Diehard Game and Play Magazine ( and Diehard 2K10 reiteration ), IGN, or Raychul Moore can certainly be considered Masterpieces.  And that's the bottom line.

Nope, that wasn't the bottom line. Check back what you wrote several posts earlier. Should I remind you? But I suspect you're well-aware of what you wrote.

My point still stands (which was your point, by the way): The Last of Us isn't a masterpiece because Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty has higher metacritic. For the same reason, Gears of War 3 isn't a masterpiece because Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty has higher metacritic.

Naughty Dog are amazing developers but the others are only average at best.

I know that the Best Xbox games don't measure up to the best Sony games, whatever label you want to put on them, and that's the bottom line, b.

Best Sony games can't hold a candle GAMEplay wise to Xbox titles.

Look at Killzone. Supposed to be a Halo killer.

Now they released fart sounds and planking as DLC to make this game interesting.

Not even one...

You take the cinematic experience from them they'll be out in the cold. Quantic Dream?

I didn't even say they are not good developers. I said that none of them can make a game that has mechanics that can compete with Xbox's.

Even Polyphony struggles (actually they can't hold against Turn10) to hold their own.

Calm down, I was replying to another poster.

You're definitely wrong on that score.  Dave Halverson, Founder of America's Greatest Video Game Magazines Diehard Game Fan and Play Magazine said that Ninja Theory's "Heavenly Sword" was without a doubt the Best Game of the 1st Half of the 7th Console Generation.  That Game Company's Journey was the Overall Game of the Year for 2012 ( http://youtu.be/gEERLu_brSs and http://youtu.be/Atyttw6pvjw )  MediaMolecule has produced Games that have a higher Metacritic score than any Xbox exclusive since 2001 as have Sony Santa Monica and Team ICO.

So what that Dave guy says is fact now? Anyone that thinks otherwise is 'definitely' wrong?

Certainly what Dave Halverson ( http://www.gamesetwatch.com/2009/02/column_game_mag_weaseling_dave.php ) says can be taken as Gospel.  Going back to 1991 or so, he's basically ( there are a few exceptions that have usually been part of his staff at his magazines like Nick Des Barres whose statements can also be taken in that light, Raychul Moore seems to be doing a good job ) the only American Games Journalist with a mind of his own that is unaffected by corporate dollars ( which is the only reason most Xbox games have scored as high as they have )

You know, I'm on the same boat as you.

I also think Naughty Dog is the only one that stands out due to high cinematics and decent amount of gameplay on their games.

Plus they copy scripts and styles from movies/games and make the best "original" games.
