Fair enough...X1 did not accomplish its goal and failed in just about all of the ventures that they touted as revolutionary.

The hate should be for mattrick who is the creator of the original vision, hating it now with Phil Spencer being the boss sounds so wrong. PS is doing really a good job so far and is trying to make the gamers happy. ofcourse if you enjoy it did not made the sales of Xbo better you are fine to enjoy it.

Yawn with the comparing. MS, in order to keep Xbox in business, was forced to "listen" to see what the consumers want. Because all updates and features after launch were a direct result of listening.

Sure.  They were forced to listen, they did not decide to because they always put consumers first like they wanted us to believe they did.

LOL Just tell him. Gamestop forced Microsoft to drop DRM by lowering their pre-order count until they were forced into submission. If MS succeeded with DRM it would've been a straight shot to Gamestops profits and everyone knows it. They were trying to help EA stop used games or at least slow it down a lot. It's like no one ever reads an article. As soon as MS dropped DRM Gamestop was oh so happy to increase their pre-order numbers. MS succeeded in not only pissing off consumers, but Gamestop as well. The largest used and new game vendor on the planet.

Yup, and yet people still buy this thing.

MS had several red flags that were as clear as day. From the surveys to the "VS" videos from IGN, it was crystal clear that the X1 would do horribly at the state it was in. However, MS acted really arrogant, making up excuses like the consumers don't know what's best for them or the like.

Also, the PSN shutdown isn't similar enough when we're talking about a company listening to what the consumer wants/doesn't want out of a product. Huge difference there. Freedom Wars and X1 are products. PSN is a service and on top of that, what the customers wanted during the PSN shutdown was an explanation. Not a product, an explanation. Sony took 2 weeks because at the beginning, they did not have a complete picture of what was going on until then. Just because the PSN shutdown and MS's X1 fiasco costed both companies millions doesn't mean the scenarios are the same. Also, no one's customer info got compromised since there were no reports of credit fraud whatsoever, but I digress...

@ Bolded:  Could we say that Don Matt Acted arrogant instead of MS as a company.  I always like to separate people from a company because one bad apple is not always representive of the corporation.  How many times have people had a bad experience with one customer service rep, only to have a totally different experience with another.  It wasn't to long after that statement Don was headed to another job.  Do people believe something like that just happens out of the blue.

The PSN Hack is used because it showed Sony response time to something very critical and customer related.  Something that could have cause actual real problems if the information stolen led to cusumers credit cards being used illegally.  2 weeks to tell the public that your credit card could be compromised is nothing to dismiss and it has far more reaching effect than the cased used for MS.  In less than a week, MS used the information to make a drastic change in policy.  As huge as a company as MS, I can tell you thats fast.  You can bet there were meetings that last until the wee hours taking in information and deciding on a course of action.  At least one exec got thrown under the bus.

No.  Don Matrick was MS.  Why do you think he had so many slip-ups?  He didn't know what to say because MS didn't know what to tell him to say.  MS sccrewed up, and he got a lot of the hate.  I hate Don as much as the next guy, but it was far from his fault.

Fact.  People need to accept this.

I learned this as a kid. Parents tell you what is good and bad. But when you do them anyway, you actually see the point, and then you truly learn the lesson.

True people really learn better when they make the mistake, specially children. But they arent children working at MS, right?  What if a couple of kids never seen a lion in thir lives before see this big kitty and one of then tryes to pet it and gets their arms riped off, do you think the other one is going to lauff and then try to pet it himself? Hell no, the kid saw the pain and tears of the other one and would cry and run from just seeing it. So even if it did not happen to them buisness men that are suposed to know the market and study peoples reaction to the competition should know not to make the mistakes of your enemy.

How about this for the adults wich has a little less gore,  a friend go buys chinese food at a restaurant and your friend opens his food and is full of live bugs, will you ever go buy food at that restaurant? No, you would never visit that restaurant and wright complains with you friend.

Or how about the romans made the mistake of using led for everything and got poisoned from it, do you think it cant happen to you and use lead yourself like makeup? No, you would not.

The quote "if you dont learn from history your doom to repeat it" is meant so we could learn from others mistake that could even have been comited over 100 years before you where born. Like science, you build on others achivements to move foward, cuz if you start from scrach eveery time we would have nothing today. Comparing what I said to your children was just so silly, that I barely held it toghether to not insult someone.

Actually corporations are like children.  To many people and not all of them have the experience to know when something is right or wrong.  Most times its because corporations try to dictate the market and they believe that have a graphs of what consumers will tolerate.  This was Sony at the beginning of last gen.  Coming off the success of the PS2, they felt consumers would just buy whatever they made at whatever cost.  They felt they controled the market and found out real quick that they were way to high on the horse to see the little people.

@BOLDED:  You know there are countless videos of people doing exactly such dumb crap and most are from adults.  Hell there is this one video where this man is filming lions after a hunt.  He gets out the car, creeps closer to the pride to get that magical shot only to not see the female lion in the bushes before its all too late.

So you telling me that ms witnesing sony failed after the huge succes of the ps2 was, wich dominated every market around the world, still decided to act so arrogant to try to force these policies even after coming from a defeat in last place from the previous generation is something everybody does? And they should also be forgiven? That does not sound like a smart move to me.

At the second part: Do you belive that was a smart move? Are you saying since idiots online do stupid stuff its ok for a world leader like ms to do stupid stuff and after it fails we should let it go? You know what this sounds to me, survival of the fittest, the guy with the lion did a stupid thin and probably died, now ms did a stupid thing  and the market refused them and now they are probably out of the game. And you know why? Because they refused to learn from history, even if not your history you should still lean something.

People tend to forgive little mistakes like sonys overpriced ps3 after the pricecuts, but what ms did is something that they took away and could at any minute bring it back unlike sony recharging $200 for something you aredy bought. Im not saying that might happen, just is that its a fear that consumers have that wont be soon reliefed.

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Just one of several reasons why one will never set foot into my home.

Like I said before. Similar, but not exactly identical. This is about how companies react to negative customer feedback towards a product that is about to release. Also, didn't credit card information actually got compromised on XBL despite MS's supposedly quicker reaction? In contrast, Sony might have taken longer, but no credit card information got compromised at all. Speed isn't everything if you do a slapdash job (in this different type of scenario, I should add).

Jim Sterling will turn on you. He will give your favorite game a shitty review. He will bad mouth your mother. And when he does, remember that he was once on your side.

That just means he's objective. Just because he speaks [facts] about the Xbone doesn't mean he'll automatically give Uncharted 4 an 11/10 review. I'd prefer it be that way and he airs out honest feelings, than to be biased. Like Polygon is with MS or IGN is with Sony.

If he has a history of "telling it like it is" and gives a fair assessment to everyone, then that time he gives a bad review to my favorite game, I'll be more inclined to listen to why he gave it a bad review. As opposed to say, Polygon, giving Last of Us a 7.5 when just about every other publications gave it a 9 or higher and it got over 200 GOTY awards (they have since said it's "one of the best games of the last generation" when talking about the remaster. Kind of a low score for being amongst the best). I know they have an MS bias, so I ignore them until they build a decent track record of being unbiased. I won't ignore Jim if he gives a game I like a bad review. Because, contrary to what you've said, he's not "on my side". He's neutral. And he has sound and valid points for many positions he takes, whether they be positive or negative about Sony, Nintendo, or Microsoft.
