Last place ? Last gen ? |
Yes. From November 2005 - Some time in 2014 or November 2006 - Sometime in 2014 (the politically correct version lol). That isn't important though.

you got it.

That's the thing. I am considered to be among the most hardened of Xbox fans. And I see the factors at play. Europe/Japan and no head start.......it is really hard to not take those into account. |
Well the fact that you're saying this makes you moderate. Don't flatter yourself :P
I think we should judge by what people actually say and not just which fanbase they align to.
Still, I know what you did and why you said it. It's a tactic to damage control. I know this one very well since I employed it numerous times myself ;)
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Oh, you meant made up deadlines for a console that was released one year later than the competition / a competition that achieved that year early release by selling a console with an unprecedented fail rate.

Anybody you ask that knows me from my Youtube days.......the last thing they would call me is moderate. Could it be you want to believe we are deluded enough to think we can take 1st? Because that would play into your view of the console wars?
Seriously......Europe and Japan. We aren't blind to that lol.
It may be able to win the US, but not worldwide. I have one and think and have never been as impressed with a console. I know the Kinect is a big negative in most gamers minds but voice commands and quick switching between apps works great. I think Microsoft had a really cool vision which they didn't sell well. It may do better once gamers realize that the XBOX is a serious game machine and does a whole lot more. Being able to access all of your entertainment options from one machine is really nice.

Made up? You mean official release dates and an estimated time of getting out of last place? I even listed a politically correct version.....to avoid your response (that came anyway). See this is what I am talking about. Your still feeling the sting. Cheer up buddy, your #1 now! :D

You do even realise you are implying that the xbox deserves a head start ?
And you almost accusing Europe for lot loving the Xbox. Did microsoft make a mutlimillion deal with UEFA about Champions league the same way it did with the NFL ? MS even lost the UK.
On a global scale? No. In the US and UK? That's the tricky question.
And I think that's where this "this can save the X1" blackboard is aimed at, or that's at least the only way I'd use it.
There are definitely still Xbox fans expecting the X1 to win those 2 regions, so I think it's not unfair to point out the shortcomings of the X1 over there.
Other than that I just like to sometimes remember and point out comments like "MS has the US on lock and the real battlefield is going to be Europe next gen", that I remember reading here maybe 2,5 years or so ago, those are hilarious in hindsight.
