Based on Leak from NPD July which shows consoles LTD, some adjustments are needed to VGC Numbers:

Here are VGC Number YTD:

Wii undertracked by around 250K

360 overtracked by around 2M

Xone overtracked by 100K

PS3 overtracked by around 300K

Vita Undertracked by 90K

WiiU overtracked by 130k

3DS overtracked by 290k

Considering the margin or error, VGC is quite spot on.

It looks to be all within 5%.

Indeed, the differences are small except for X360 (2 Million over tracked), even if the percentage is within 5%.

I guess you could argue that 360, Vita and Wii U are out by more than they should be for LTD slaes. But everyting else is pretty tight with NPD.

Yes, VGC has shown great reliability over long periods. Let's not forget thst today's numbers have already been adjusted multiple times over the years, giving it the aura of being more precise than it actually is, but overall a commendable accuracy by ioi.

This data should help him be more precise in future calculations.

Of course the Vita and the Wii are the only undertracked systems....

I didn't expect that the 360 still hasn't outsold the Wii. Maybe on Black Friday.

Even so, I don't think the numbers are too far off.
