if ps4 had backwards compatibility, i would buy one in the very first day just like i did to wii u.

The WiiU has it, so that has to count for something.... right? RIGHT?!

why is wii u so smart????? WHY CANT SONY AND MICRO DO THE Same??? man i would want to play ps3 gmes on ps4 and x360 on xbone

hope 4 majora remake :D
For the transitional period from one gen to the next BC was a great option, it allowed you to buy games on your old console while still getting new ones but not having the issue of another machine below the TV. This will be missed. By not even a quarter the way into the gen, it won't be an issue anymore, there will be enough games to play.
I would say I would have bought a PS4 by now if it existed.
Hmm, pie.
Haven´t MS talked about working towards making X1 backwards compatible? I Think I read something about that.

just to play wii games? yuk
i got that out of my system years ago i rather go back to a snes or n64.

I miss it too, at least with Sony's systems. Nintendo, conversely, has been really great over the past two generations with backward compatibility. I've been able to retire older systems, e.g. GCN, GBA, Wii, DS, once the new generation arrives. It saves space, it saves time, and, for consumers who never owned the previous gen system, it allows them to catch up on the full library of games.
Would I choose not to purchase a system simply because it lacks backward compatibility? No. But it would have been nice to retire my PS3 or, if I get an Xbox One, my 360.
