Wow, you're really hyped, lol.
id Software is my favourite developer of the 90's. Their work was simply amazing, but they disappointed me in the 2000's.

After I read this thread, I google image searched for one! LMAO. Maybe I will make one. Other than the texture pop-in and mediocre driving I loved Rage. DooM 3, while certainly not as good as 1 or 2, was still a great game in my opinion.

Quake 4 was developed by Raven, id Software supervised it and the engine is from them.
But yes, Q4 is the worst one, Doom 3 and Rage were at least solid. Quake 3 is still my favourite multiplayer shooter, newer id games weren't even close.

Yeah... Going from Quake III to Quake IV was really weird because Quake III was actually my favorite FPS at the time! :-/

Heh, I think I spent ~400 hours with it! Anyway, it would be awesome if Bethesda would bring back Quake in full force like they are doing right now with Doom! It would feel just like the good ol' days!

Quake 3 is an AMAZING game. My favorite of the series is Quake 1. I played that game sooooo much. DM6 is the best 1v1 level ever in any game. Quake 1 TCP/IP netcode is the most technology advancing achievement ever in MP coding too. When Quake 3 came out, I used to go to a comic shop that had people who played D&D and Warhammer, and I would bet them money on Quake 3 LAN matches on the store's 4 machine setup and destroy them, sometimes to the tune of 80-120 bucks in a few hours.
