Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo is now aiming for 1080p? Over half the games shown at E3 were 1080p.

Lol, video resolutions decide the games' actual resolutions? so are Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World 1080p?

I can see some of them being 1080p but I really don't see X being one of them imo. With that being said, I really hope that games like Beyonatta 2 and etc will push for 60 fps over 1080p (I am sure Beyonatta has been confirmed for 60 fps but I am using it as an example)

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

The games aren't always in the resolution of the videos.

Do not confuse recorded footage resolution with the games native resolution ...

OH not this again >:/

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

I couldn´t care less.

Unfortunately I have the theory that Nintendo never aim for 1080 in first place, and was always 720p upscaled to 1080, but I am not so sure because WW HD is 1080p

Nintendo fans were filling left out so they decided theyre gona enter the resolution wars as well. And they have done so in the ofensive it seens.

So Mario Kart 8 is 1080p then, Nintendo and Digital Foundry lied to us.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Confusing video footage online to what native resolution it might actually be. We will find out when they announce, but yes I do imagine there will be some games being at 1080p and if not, they will put a lot into games and keep it a good smooth resolution.
