Forums - Gaming - Sony is looking at remastering PS3 titles the same way Disney remasters movies

In which case, ppl "wondering why they didn't release those titles on the PS4" can actually be seen as a form of clamor for said product as "wondering" why a product isn't out has been seen as a way of expressing interest/requesting in something be made available.

I wondered why GT6 wasnt moved to the PS4, but I dont like racing sims...

The keyword is expression.

Any expression of such thoughts would (to any marketer, 12 years in corporate marketing here btw) be indicative of interest and/or a clamor as such expressions would (not a 100% occurence of course but enough to be statistically relevant) require that the person have at least a stake at the existence of such products to even take the time to voice such thoughts. Kinda like how search engine queries are used in determining a person's purchasing profile.

So, someone buys a film on dvd, eventually they buy a bluray player, do they get a discount on the bluray copy of the same film?

nope.

Do they have to buy it again to play it?

nope.

retail availability is not forced, you just have an obvious and one sided agenda.

You can watch the DVD on your BR player and if you want the BR version, you can get that. Everyone is happy

Just like you can play TLOU on the ps3 you had already bought it for, then buy the PS4 version if you wanted that one.

Nope. I already explained to you that what matters is the demand for a product. Not its age.

Who made these demands?

I did.

The people asking for it could be people who never owned a PS3 though. Kinda shitty if you bought the PS3 game with all the DLC and then watch people get a better version for half what you paid.

*List of every single details that's been tweaked or improved in the HD version of Wind Waker*

Good. Now, do you know the exhaustive list of changes and improvements are for The Last of Us Remastered?

* 1080P/60fps

LMAO!!  You just proved your bias here.  It's okay if Nintendo releases a remake.  Yea, we'll praise them and list any tiny little details of what they have improved and act like they are doing it for the customer, and NOT for a cash grab.  But, when Sony does it, we'll act like an upped res and framerate is all they are doing to it and blast them for this cashgrab.  That evil Sony.  And Sony is only doing this from now on, while not churning out new games.  Oh wait, it's the Wii U that has had game drought after game drought and the PS4 that has the great line-up of exclusives and 3rd party games in the coming years.

In the contrary virtually all of the people I know that are buying it, already have it for PS3.

In constrast, the people who are most vocally against it, are also the same people who either never bought the first, never owned a ps3, or never wanted to play the game anyway.

Which is what Sony stated was their primary target market was.

Games and other products get improved and discounted all the time. You'd need to be utterly self-entitled if you want everyone to pay the same amount you did for the product you got earlier.

If anything, it's the company losing out on potentially higher profits for offering an improved product at a lower price than what it was originally offerd for.

/gasp!!! In which case it is the buyers that are taking advantage of Sony for tricking them into releasing a better version for lesszz1!!11!!!One /mindblown

Apparently, making changes to the AI, revamping a majority of the games textures, adding in support for new controller, building in all the dlc, adding more controller options (left handed player option too) isn't enough of a change.

But simply changing the controls in Resident Evil 4 Wii edition, is.
