I think both Xbone and PS4 will flop in China. China is PC territory and I don't think consoles will have a big impact there.

I believe ParryWinkle is right. PC's are big business in China. I think console sales will be a thing when any console gets hacked.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Its relvent that the ones that CAN affored online and new tech toys are most interestes in PS4. or do you think that the 9 hundreth million peasants opinion matter much on this subject ? |
You really did not get what I meant.
Anyway, what I said is that the poll was at the end PS4 arcticle meaning that the respondents are the ones already interested in the ps4 and that is why the poll result is irrevelant.
Its a poll of just 5000 people so I wouldn't give this much importance.

Ugh...not this again. "Just 5,000 people so ignore it" (is the gist of what you're saying). #1 the poll was nearly 6500 people. And #2 presidential poll trackers like Rasmussen, Gallup, NPR, and the Washington times use less than 1500 respondents in their polls (some of those are less than 1000). The resulting percentages as >3% margin of error, and that's based on the sampling to be indicative of a 125M people. 1500 respondent sample size. Less than 3% margin of error representing a population of 125M voters.
6488 is an extremely large sample size.

Here is what another article said about this poll:
Now, to be fair, this is just an online poll, and its sample is probably not a fair representation of China’s gaming market. The audience could also be biased in favor of the PS4; it’s probably posted elsewhere too, but I found it in an article that mentions Sony in the title. The Xbox One is also discussed in the article itself, but the Sony headline might be attracting more Playstation fans than Xbox fans.
You people crack me up, did you even read the article. That's like going into psnation and asking if they prefer XB1 or ps4. The survey was posted in a ps4 article, skewed data.

You are correct, and in the title I made sure to point that out, and the article itself never hides those facts.
However, if we learned anything from VGC forums, titles and topics about one console certainly don't stop fans of others to read those topics, comment on them and answer polls.
Sure, a poll like this is certain to have some bias, and definitely is not foolproof, but should not be blatantly dismissed a priori. Article, though short, even gives a decent explanation on the reason behind the results, and that surely is the biggest hurdle MS needs to overcome - brand recognition.
And with MS getting a ton of bad press in China lately with Windows controversy, it sure usn't helping the XBox branding efforts.
PS4 will launch who knows when, and XOne has a chance to build a fan base, but I believe Chinese total console sales will be closer to Italy or Spain than to UK or US numbers.

I've read WiiU articles about X and MK8. I have the faintest interest in getting a WiiU. Your argument is invalid.
Some people read articles because their interest in gaming as a whole supercedes a console preference. I know I do, and a rule of thumb is that you're never the only one that does something. If you look at my post history, you'll see that I've ripped on the XBone before. I still read up on its features and updates, just to be educated about the product. I don't see myself getting one anytime soon though.
See where I'm going with this? It's not 100% of the time that your interest leads you to the article/news. Sometimes you read the article/news for the sake of knowing about something. It's not like NetEase is some PS news site, like PS-Extreme or PSU (which you could, there, make the case for "they were already interested in PS4). It's a popular online services provider (ranked 27th by Alexa).
