The author doesn't sound too excited about gaming in general-- but that seems to be the point. The Wii U, to an unbiased outsider, is the most attractive console to buy now.

Its the most attractive depending on the person specifiacly only likeing certain type certain  way stylaized games.

I get it. We've heard it before. PS4 and X have sold X units more, have better graphics, more games by publishers A, B, and C.

But what this article irrefutably shows is that there people in the world that care about NONE of that-- even while aware if it. They buy a console to get only a handful of games over a generation for dependable dose of fun -- and if they find more great games, they'll get them. but if not, so be it.

Sure its the most attractive to sport fans to shooter fans to online heavy gamers or for people looking for a more mature storied character filled games.  

Way overthinking the article. The author, and those like him don't care about style -- they care about what they've heard is fun. Right now, Mario Kart 8 is the most fun game on the mass market (but of course it can just as well be something different later)

Mere opinion or hope, nothing more.  How is a person to have fun with it if they dont like games like that ? you cant force your likes on others.

Way generalizing on your part.  In no way is wiiu the most attractive console to most gamers, prove that.   Same time to likes of you it may very well be just that.
