Currently, the pre-orders are bad for COD AW, especially for the PS systems.  More importantly, the total number sales for COD AW (for all consoles) is going to be very low compared to the previous CODs.

This generation, if a company is going to do some sort of exclusivity deal, it should be with PS4.

Let Activision do what the want. It's their loss. I mean, the DLC exclusivity barely did anything for the 360 last gen, and well once the gap is starring em back in the face, the money won't taste as good.

It's really too late to cry foul on the timed exclusivity thing, which is why when people complain about Bungie's, it's past the time of relevance. It's already an industry accepted practice, and nothing short of a unified 'No' to these developers will dissuade them from what's worked so well, thus far.

does it matter how much they paid? It only matters that they are paying and considering they have been doing this for YEARS cant be cheap. Acitivision is just laughing to the bank its free money for them. MS isnt benefitting, cause COD is going to do worse on X1 than PS4 regardless. So Sony could just sick back and laugh. Not to mention the series itself is selling less and less.

5 million sales will kill a series?  Sorry but CoD has at least one generation left in the tank after the current gen.  It costs Activison basically nothing to make, it's got last gen to rely on before it will have to bump up production for PS4/XB1 and it's simply too popular to die off anytime soon.

Well, it obviously won't kill them right away... But its a good step in the right direction to killing off the franchise or at the very least, make them put more effort into it

3rd party deals really only favor one. The company paying for the exclusive content...and maybe not even then depending on what was paid for the content.

Also, If its a loss for sony then its a loss for Activision. Its not like people are going to go buy an X1 for one game. Considering the popularity of PS4 and sales almost double X1 worldwide...activision would probably feel less enthusiastic about a MS partnership at the moment.

The game will come out on PS4, the exclusivity deal is for DLC. Activision is getting paid so whatever difference is compensated by money.

Sony is the only loser in this deal, and where the corpse is the vultures gather (sonyites). (i.e. Sony fans will say this is a loss for Acti to feel better about themselves)

@ericfabian. When a company pays or something, it's usually to get something out of it. In this case, the obvious greater sales on their console than without an exclusivity deal.


How is Sony losing out when there version is going to do better anyway? And they are not putting up extra money.

Sony is losing because it allows their closest rival to have some presence when Sony should be absolutely dominating.
