PS4 will dominate but not like the PS2, maybe with like 45%-50%
I know... my English sucks.

| RubberWhistleHistle said: wii u and xbone DID sell more than ps4. and that is closing the gap. people were predicting 60%+ market share. personally, i never thought it would even go above 50% market share. in order to attain 50% market share, you have to outsell both consoles combined. thats not something that happened this week, and i dont think there are going to be many weeks that it will happen. |
it'll hit 50% by March/April 2015
PS2 have had 73% of markect.
158 million PS2
25 million XBOX
22 million GC
11 million DC
PS2: 73%
XBOX: 11%
GC: 10%
DC: 6%

The wording of the OP and the initial responses tell me all I need to know about the way the thread will end up.
So going to lock pre-emptively before things get out of hand.
Yes, they're closing the gap because they've sold more than half as much as the ps4 for a couple weeks.
Wii U will sell less than GameCube in lifetime sales mark my words. The Xbox One however is so far matching Xbox 360 sales so there's that. But PS4 doesn't have enough system selling exclusives or Japanese support to beat PS2, but definitely beat PS1

its not meant to inflame. i cant help it if people are passionate about how much the ps4 outsells the other consoles. seems like most people have come around to the idea that its not the second coming of the ps2 anymore though.. which is good. because that crap was getting absolutely ridiculous. does anybody else remember that? it was insane. |
Except it really PS2 all over, check the deals and price for X1 and all the games wiiu has. PS4 is kicking their ass with what ????.
It will only get worse for those two, a PS4 relying on 3rd rate franchses is killing them. WTF you think will happen when its big titles start hitting, it will be a sloughter sales wise.
| BeElite said: They slightly stemmed the bleeding, but merely temporary. Destiny will open up the wound much more and Xmas the PS4 will crush them both sales wise. X1 price has been falling like a rock and deals are a plenty, and wiiu just had the biggest game if its life release. And they both are still getting whooped by PS4. you guys understand ^^ what that means don't yahh ???? |
you must not have been here for very long. you do know that nintendo's games have legs like no other games this industry has ever seen? and that during christmas time this is a huge reason for nintendo's giant success compared to the other two? nintendo's sales always are through the roof during christmas time compared to what they usually sell. if sales keep going as theyre going, i wouldnt be surprised at all if wii u outsold ps4 for a few weeks.
and as for microsoft, theyre makingn all the right moves with gamers while sony is making all the wrong moves. just look at e3, microsoft showed nothing but games. what did ps4 do? talked about apps, movies and tv, something that microsoft was chastised for big time. phil spencer is doing a lot to turn things around.
in the end ps4 is going to win, but its not going to be by much.
PS4 60% market share, if VGChartz is right, wasn´t the rule but a few weeks last spring.
Hollydays sales were 4/3 (PS4/XOne) and I think that ratio will be the same this year hollydays.
| celador said: It won't reach 150 million like PS2, I don't think it will 60% market share. it's does not need to rely on remasters and it isn't doing so now, this idea is laughable. Sony's first party is much stronger than MS's and it has great third party deals in place |
what are you talking about!??!
so far this year sony has only put out infamous, mlb 14, entwined, and some ports like pixel junk shooter ultimate, dead nation and soon to be TLoU.
meanwhile EA put out titanfall AND plants vs zombies. and then when you consider that insomniac is going to be putting out sunset overdrive this holiday things look terribly loopsided. sony's first party is soo disappointing compared to microsoft's..
