That'd be terrible. PC version is same as consoles except it's not capped at 30fps

The PC version also had higher resolution textures and was native 1080p, and maybe had slightly higher quality shadows, but yeah.  What would be more terrible is that people (like myself) bought the PC version on a system that was easily able to handle the original graphics, but got a gimped version anyways. My game didn't drop below 60fps.  Not one single time.

I just think that if they were going to ever use the original graphics, they could have easily done it already on the PC version.  But we will see, I suppose.

Does it include the planned DLC? Because if it does I will certainly pick this up.

But if it were as simple as that, then no need to buy Halo to get your "1st person sci-fi shooter fix" because you've got Destiny. Oh wait...you are gonna get Halo still, right? It's because you have the ability to buy it (as opposed to GoW). I wouldn't be foolish enough to say "I have Destiny, so no need to play Halo. I got my fix", especially because it makes no sense to miss out on a completely different game, with a different story, different setting, etc. (which I'm going to go out on a limb and say would be your reason for differentiating it from Destiny) just because the gameplay was similar. Otherwise I wouldn't have played, for example, both Legend of Dragoon and FFIX. But hey, different strokes. If having one game trumps your potential enjoyment of multiple other games, because you got your "fix", that's good for you. I, personally, wouldn't not play Battlefield just because I played CoD, but that's just me. You seem to be that way, so I'd only expect you to own 10-12 games over the course of any given generation =/.

I also find it ironic coming from the guy who's trumpeted on here for a long time "Xbox 360 has more AAA, AA, and A games than PS3, so objectively it has the better library" but now, having less games is ok because you can "get a fix" with one game. Are you not gonna be interested in Bloodborne 2 (if that were to happen) as well, because you can get your "fix" with DS2?

Well hard to argue with the 1st paragraph. That's just how I roll. I tend to only own 20 retail games per gen (digital however has no limit). Work too many hours per week to have time for more. I tend to pick one over another. Just saying that with DMC4, I had no longing for the competition's exclusive of the same genre, that's all. Same goes for DS2 on X1.

But yes, this gen has seen both sides shift their agenda. PS fans used to say it was their exclusives that made PS3 better and 360 users said the overall library was bigger and had more overall quality when factoring in XBLA. Now indies and total games offered are PS fans mantra and Xbox fans are touting its more plentiful big name games not on PS4. Our agendas are only what our corporate masters dictate to us :)



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Yay Im buying it again, if they re release this game 100 times i buy it 100 times and platinum it everytime. I just love the Souls series.

It´s From´s most successful IP ever, while SquareEnix was complaining about the 5 million copies of Tomb Raider, they were popping the champagne for the 2 million Dark Souls sold.

I just hope they don´t run the series into the ground ;_;

I´d prefer if they´d do it with the first Dark Souls, which is the better game, imo.

I´ll be looking forward to reading your opinion on DS2...as for me, I think it´s a good game, better than so many other games out there, but as a Souls fan, I was disappointed.

i am a big souls fan but the delay killed this game for me.  when it was a holiday release i would have picked it up.   things as they are it came out right after i upgraded to ps4 (which i wasn't even a day-1 buyer).

i'm still playing some of my ps3 backlog here and there but i just have no motivation to buy ps3 games anymore.  ps4 is just such a better experience from the super fast OS to the massively more comfortable controller.   i would by DS2 instantly on ps4 but will never play it if it stays on ps3.   does that make me a bad souls fans?   ..i dunno, i guess.   i've just moved on and the DS2 especially isn't something i want on ps3 because once i start playing it will be played none stop for like 8 months.

 

but between the somewhat dull reponse of DS2 and the fact that bloodborne is just around the corner.   ..if they don't port soon i might not even pick it up on ps4.   sad but true.
