I found the alpha incredibly fun, and I tend to despise the FPS genre in general. It's one of the few games (along with Metroid Prime) that really caught my attention.

Same here. I don't play FPS, and I almost never play online, but I'm giving Beta a chance. Who knows, maybe it's so awesome that I'll actually buy and play the game.
