Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's Problem -- There Simply Isn't Room For 3 Consoles

So there is only room for two consoles in the world? And they both have to be the PS4 and Xbone which are almost identical?

............ok.

Just because Nintendo is different doesnt mean they should be shunned.

Sorry but the one who will make way is the Xbox brand.Dead in Europe, completely dead in Japan, offers basically nothing over PS/4 as opposed to WiiU which has the best first party out there.

You don't exactly put forth a convincing argument. Just saying.

Kinda strange to bring up stuff that happened 25+ years ago with turbo graphx etc.
The video game market has grown somewhat since then....

Last gen still clearly proves you wrong, but that's just my opinion.

The original Xbox clearly did just as badly as the Gamecube did. In comparison to the PS2's total dominance, one could have used your same argument that there's only room for one console maker.

Last gen had a console that successfully attracted non gamers and two attracting core gamers.

Now non gamers have the mobile market, and none of the 3 consoles will try to get this audience back IMO

To me they are very much needed. I couldnt imagine a gaming industry without Nintendo hardware.

Amen!!!!!!!!!!!

"Nintendo's Problem -- There Simply Isn't Room For 3 Consoles"

Seems this is more a Microsoft Problem this gen. Both Sony & MS has lost billions in last gen. In the "PS2-Gen" Nintendo made more money with gamecube than Sony with the PS2, despite the PS2 has sold far better.

On the other hand: Sony is practically bankrupt. So if the PS4 will survive this whole gen is debatable.

Prove that the GC made more money than PS2.

It probably didnt. Nintendo just made more in that gen because of the GBA I think.

Yeah I knew it. He probably confused it with being the profits from GC alone rather than GC + GBA.
