Hal Lab, have made Smash Bros it's not exactly like they're a little indie studio, they could do much more than a Kirby game imo, and GoodFeel have proved to have some very good graphical and level esign abilities, too bad they're applied to a "kindergarden-easy" style of gameplay.

Everyone hated DK Tropical Freeze simply for not being the "next metroid", like Retro is the only entitled studio to make Metroid, why shouldn't Nintendo EAD make it, rather than the 5th Mario game in 5 years? After all EAD used to make Metorid before Prime, and the seiries was already top-notch quality.

I wouldn't put HAL in the same league as Retro, not by a long shot.

And while I did love Tropical Freeze personally, from a commercial point of view it was a dumb move; the system already had several 1st party platformers, they would have moved more consoles if they'd made Metroid or a new "hardcore" IP.

You're really missing out on skipping the DKC games. They don't live up to Metroid Prime but are wonderful platformers. If you had to choose one though pick DKCR. Tropical Freeze is great but seems shorter to me since it has just 6 worlds compared to 8.

Cool! Nice to see the franchise is still alive.

But with Mario Kart 8 around... Sales will be pretty much F-Zero levels.

I'm down for some Diddy Kong Racing but I gotta think the following

1. Would people really care for it now that we have Mario Kart 8?

2. Is Retro just going to waste the entire generation on Donkey Kong related stuff?(if rumor is true)
