They did not answer the question re : when can we expect more information re Neo Racing. Was there ever an estimated release window or year for it? I can understand not showing gameplay until they are ready but why so little Info re the games progress?

They've been relasing info on twitter periodically for a while now.
For example, that it supports 2-4 player local splitscreen and online play.
That it runs at 60fps in single player, 2 player splitscreen, and online. (3-4 player splitscreen not final)
That it will have "far more" vehicles in a race than the first game's 8.
As for a release window, the "coming 2014" on the official site has been removed, so expect a 2015 release.

Still not enough to lift it above average though. The higher speed also means that formerly challenging jumps have become a breeze, because you now cover more distance in the air. |
I haven't played it, but watching it on youtube, yeah, the gameplay for JR2 does look pretty weak.
Thankfully, their last Wii U game, Nano Assault Neo, had very good gameplay, with just the right blend of 90s arcade challenge and modern accessiblity.
Dear Shinen,
please work as hard on your gameplay as you do on your graphics!

How so? It is a direct quote. |
Going by your conception of direct quote:
"I will never say that i hate sony"
Direct quote:
"i hate sony"
What they said is that they want to prove what wiiu can really do, not that they will actually deliver or that the other developers accomplishiments is worth nothing.
Number one rule on internet boards: don't expect people to read more than the title in 90% of the cases
Less misleading titles: "Shin'en explains why they didn't revealed more of FRN yet"
"Shin'en decided to push the WiiU hardware on FRN"
"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

The context of the thread title does not negate its meaning though.
We've been hearing the possibilities and the potential of Wii U yet no one seems to know how to utilize it.
What the fuck am I missing here?
Nintendo themselves hasn't even released shit to take advantage of NFC, the importance of a second screen, even the camera, etc.
These should have been employed since inception.
Impatient, am I? Fuck, yes. I have the right to. Otherwise, they're not doing a great job convincing me why I would even consider a Wii U.

Ubisoft's done a better job of utilizing the second screen than Nintendo themselves with ZombiU and Rayman Legends.
I think Shin'en were talking about graphics though.
Shin'en has been doing too much bs'ing around. They need to stop talking and self boasting and actually show something
