Do you not know that PS Now uses Cloud and you need to always be connected to use it? There is no difference in MS Cloud processing and PS Now emulation when it comes to internet being always connected.

You do understand that PS Now is a game streaming service, right?

If you don't, feel free to do a little research as to how that works. In short, games play remotely, not on local hardware. It goes without saying you can't stream anything without a network connection.

But you do understand and instead are implying (or maybe you're confused or ill informed) that PS Now is a required service automatically tied to the PS4. In other words, you seem to imply that by owning a PS4, you have to subscribe to PS Now (which is a paid for and optional service), ergo you have to have an always on internet connection, ergo the PS4 has always online DRM (and yes, any content streaming service is a form of DRM).

But you probably also understand that this is fallacious thinking. I don't think you're an idiot. You're smarter than that.

So you are trying to tell me that PS Now doesnt need internet to access their Cloud? Come on bro, you're smarter than that. My original reply is refering to the silliness of how the thread title says always online is being stealthily brought back. Then the subject matter talks about M$ telling you that Cloud use will be coming. Now how do you use the Cloud without internet? Well, you will need to always be online to use it. And how is it being stealthily brought back when M$ just told you they will be using it. OP is trying to bust M$es balls for using always online for Cloud. Well if you think about it, if you want to use Sony's Cloud, then you need to be always online too. That implies to any Cloud, streaming, gaming, datas storage, whatever. You will need internet.

It's like you are trying to talk to me about Console services when i'm talking about the basic concept of internet..

Are you guys even reading thread titles and OPs anymore?

Now whatch someone reply to me AGAIN saying PS Now is a streaming service. I already know that, it still doesn't make this thread title correct, when the OP already disproves it.

Can we please leave PS NOW out of this. It is no way the same. PS NOW is optional, you can still buy and play your games in stores and offline.

But anyways this thread is becoming so stupid. No matter how many times things get explained, repeatedly, the MS loyalist will never accept it and spin things off to try and accuse sony of doing the same or worst. We are just going round and round repeating the same argumets.

That's the funny thing. I and plenty of Sony fans will never support a DRM console or digital only. I personally would never buy that type of product from anyone. If that does become the future then I am done with console gaming. I would only play on Steam then and I would have to buy a WiiU buy default if Sony had DRM.That is the day that I stop playing console period.

So... DRM through steam is perfectly fine, but on a console it is a deal breaker?  Ok then...

Dude, PS Now is a streaming service!

Yes, I thought that was obvious. Games that use the cloud would need to be always online. That's why I'm skeptical that games will benefit from it. And if games do use it, there will always be people who don't have great internet connections and so they won't be able to take advantage of the cloud.

Someone else gets it

Fine you understand that its a service, But why cant you understand that it is not mandatory to have PS NOW?

It takes genuine talent to see greatness in yourself despite your absence of genuine talent.

Currently I have no internet, fuck this drm bullcrap

If sony and Microsoft both do this in the future than hello wii u!

So what are you using to post here? 4g? If so, you must miss out on a lot of digital only games.

When did I say it was mandatory? I never talked about it. My whole argument in this thread is how the thread title is already discredited in the OP. The only thing I said about PS Now is that it requires always on internet. Never said it was mandatory. My whole point was, anything that uses Cloud uses internet.
