Ummmm I think you quoted the wrong person as CGI was asking a question not making a statement. And he never said anything about it being or not being domination as well.....just figured I would point that out lol.

Indeed esp when they are wrong. It's more like ~60% & 100%. But the context is already there any time a console is double another it's dominating esp if it's a pattern not a one off event. And here it's a pattern.

Only relevant if you are trying to ignore the facts or in this case the context. Percentages are useless when a product is compared to itself. Like saying wiiU up 666% in relation to whatever WiiU sales were previously. The context in this regard is by comparing one product directly to a different product competing in the same space. eg. PS4 sold 50% more than wiiU (100k+ to 50k+). In this case, even if the PS4 sold say 10k but sold 50% more than the wiiU.... that literally provides all the context you need. But of course you probably knew all this already didn't you? :) |

The correct way to phrase that would be to say that the wii u sales were 50% of the PS4 sales. PS4 selling 50% more than the wii u's sales would be 75k considering 50% of 50k is 25k.

Eevn though he "technically" said it wrong I am sure everyone knew what he meant. And the context in which he used the context in which he used the percentages was correct as well so the comment by Pav was wrong either way.

My bad.. I was concentrating more on correcting him than i was on the percentages. You are right. PS4 sold 100% more than the wiiU.
And again, the context is totally there for all to see which is the point i was really tryng to make.
I'm guessing the xbox one will hold steady in the 50k-65k range, wiiU will drop down 50 the 40-50k range, and the ps4 will stay around 100k.
