Which do you prefer (and why?)

Two similar(ish) games with different styles. kill zombies with combos while traversing the environment with parkour etc.

One has a more realistic bloody art style

The other is more of a comical, colourful style.

One is a bit faster paced, the other is slower but more brutal.

third vs. first person does make it already not comparable to me to be honest^^ that's a totally different experience in games.

I wouldn't say they are all that similar. SO has a bigger emphasis on shooting and DL on melee
I prefer the look, FP POV and melee focus of dying light, so that. I'll pick it up when it's 10 bucks on Steam.

dying light because it meets my expectations of a zombie game.
SO seems like it hopped onto the bandwagon about shooters needing a revolution. Will probably end up like brink and bulletstorm.

I am a big fan of dead island and dying light look like an improvement to that in every aspect. Plus, I don't have an Xbone so there's that.

First this ^^ (only similarity is 8 person co-op)

Second, I prefer Dying Light realistic style, and prefer FP POV. I loved Dead Island, and this seems like a big advancement. Getting it Day One, no questions asked.

I wouldn't buy SO even if I had XOne, seems to cartoony, and the E3 trailer's protagonist was very annoying. Style reminds me of a XBLA title I actually liked, Bloody Good Time, and that was a mediocre but enjoyable game.

Dying light is by the same guys that made Dead Island & Riptide + its a cross gen game, so chances are it will be avoided by myself as well. I am buying Sunset Overdrive near release cause I dont have anything to play on my X1 and it looks pretty fun.

The 2 games arent really comparable. SO is a bout a city filled with mutants, so there is a bit more room to have unique enemies. SO has multiplayer modes & no co-op, and as far as I can tell DL has co-op only. 3rd vs 1st. Completely different games.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
