Forums - Gaming - pid, AKA the most underrated indie of all time

So i picked up this game for free in a promotion on steam and wacthed the trailer, and then started to play. I was expecting a plattaformer with a good new mechanic, but short and straitgh foward mediocre. Instead i got a game with perfect art direction, a great OST, a big number of creative mechannic and enemies, and a surprisinly good storyline that really got me hooked  for more than 25 hours.

When i finished, all i could do was clap while holding my tears, and then proceded to think: why i never heard about this game before? I mean, is not something that can be tricked as a flash games as some indies end up being, its solid and fun, it deserves so much. Do yourself a favor and put this in your wish list, and if you alreadly have it , please, play it, near the end it gets really good, you will not regret.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

I bought this game at GOG a few months ago, but I haven't felt motivated to get it running in Wine. After your post, though... Maybe I'll give it a go next week.

Is it really 25hrs? That seems astronomically long for an indie game. Don't they usually last, like, 3-7hrs?

Are there any...?

It's certainly got very good user reviews on Metacritic, even if the critic reviews are less glowing.

I'll take another look if it goes on Humble/Steam sale at some point.

This seems to be one of those games with a nice artistic value. You don't get that a lot with AAA games!
